View Full Version : how about a game rating forum.
mabe we can have a game rating forum. basically it would be where people can put in a game and everyone can rate it on differnt things like graphics or fun level. it would only be for games and not the systems. we can also help people that are stuck in a game by giving hints. mabe even make it for movies two. just a thought.
You mean member reviews? it might work out, i wounder what the wise admins have to say on this matter though.
I think this type of thing would fit finely into our current setup: PS3 reviews could go into the "PS3 Games" forum, or PS2 ones into the "PS2 Discussion"; other games could go into, well, "Other Games".
It would make sense to setup a protocol of having, say, "User Review: GTA San Andreas" for the title.
I would have to mention that multiple threads occuring with be more common, but if opening any new discussion means more work is needed.
i think this is a great idea. it could be realy helpful because people including me are always asking what a game is like and if they should buy it. this way it would all be answered.
Today, Sony has made an interesting statement on news reported earlier this week on a virtual reality glove that has been trademarked for potential use on the PS3 and Viao formats.
As a precautionary method to insure a new technology won't be stolen, companies will patent an item to protect a company's ideas. This is what Sony says is the case of the virtual reality glove concept. As stated by a SCEA rep, "The development process requires that we file the necessary federal and industry paperwork to protect our ideas. However, a paperwork filing is no guarantee an idea will ultimately result in a consumer product."
For those of you who have not read up on this glove yet, Sony has patented a pair of virtual reality gloves that sense not only 3d motion, but also hand, finger, and palm movement. This, paired with rumble technology could also simulate feedback, such as the kickback of a gun in your "hands," or the pressure of a trigger. The patent states that the gloves would work on a "game console produced by Sony, as well as Sony's very own computer line, the Viao.
For now, it seems that a virtual reality glove is unlikely in the near future, but is certainly an interesting addition to the list of patents that Sony sits on. Imagine if this glove were to be used with the "mind controlled" ultrasonic head unit that Sony patented back in 2005. Possibly the ultimate virtual reality Playstation 4 with mind controlled movement and completely hand controlled actions? Probably not, but check back for more updates.

Greg, please make sure you do not post anything with DIV tags. It confuses the browser and messes up the display of the site. Use the Word Paste tool to remove Word markup code and div tags before submiting the article live.
I don't understand, those DIV tags are what give those articles the format we're using for articles no? If I edit the article in word and don't do anything else, the article will not be spaced out as the standard article format should be...
