Today at 20:45 (time in Spain) will play Germany vs Holland ... i prefer Holland ... because Barcelona are very friendly with holland people, speaking about soccer.

Greetings & VIVA ESPAÑA! :P :P

Holland are a great team and Germany not so good recently so it should be a good game (perhaps with some surprises). I'm gonna go with Germany though, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Netherlands won. 8)

Sony's pre-E3 conference begins in just six days time (http://ccgi.shah57.plus.com/countdown.html), whilst Microsoft's and Nintendo's conferences take place as soon as E3 officially kicks off the next day.

Below are my predictions of what to expect from the three giants.

Note: My predictions do not represent what will actually take place. If you agree or disagree, let us know at PS3Forums.com (http://www.ps3forums.com).

Nintendo

This could quite possibly make or break Nintendo's future in the gaming industry. They received negative feedback, to say the least, after last week's announcement that Revolution's real name will be Wii (pronounced "we"). Nintendo has stood firm about its choice of name, and it has reassured us that the name will be irrelevant once we've seen the games in action.
So we can definitely say we'll see some live games being played with their intriguing motion-detecting controller. However, what will these games be? As yet, we have no idea, but a number of developers and publishers, including Ubisoft, have shown their support for developing for Revolution (ahem, Wii). Just as Sony has done in the past, and will probably do again, it's likely that there'll be a number of demonstrations which are not actually part of official games.
We should be given a more specific launch window, as well as details of Wii's Virtual Console (to play legacy games). Personally, I doubt we'll be given a detailed pricing structure for the downloadable games, but an estimated price for the actual console may be announced.

Microsoft

They'll probably have the least exciting announcements since their conference will be focused on current and future games. Also, expect some boasting about sales figures. On the other hand, a Halo 3 announcement may be on the cards, and a short teaser would not surprise me. This would do well to counteract Sony, and most expect that Halo 3's launch will be designed to damage the PS3's launch as much as possible. Gears of War will definitely form part of their game trailer reel, and will hopefully be playable.
The major advantage Microsoft has over Sony at this point is that game developers will are getting used to the Xbox 360 hardware. The in-game trailers on display will begin to show off the true power of the Xbox 360, and it wouldn't surprise me to see some live one-on-one action just like at CES in January when Bill Gates took on Steve Ballmer.
On the hardware side of things, a more specific date for the HD-DVD add-on, and possibly details of new accessories.

Sony

Sony could do a lot, or do nothing. They've got the Tokyo Game Show in September, which is a public event, if they really wanted to leave the bigger details till then, but TGS doesn't have the reputation of E3. I don't expect any pricing information from Sony until TGS, although they may feel they're forced to reveal something at E3 in order to keep up the hype.

I'd just like to point out here that I expect the PS3 to be released in November for (US) $400, including the 60GB hard drive. Sony has to keep the PS3's price competitive, especially an entire year after the Xbox 360's release, and after Kutaragi's famous words "it will be expensive", $400 would be a more than pleasing price point.

Anyway, Sony will show a lot more game demonstrations than last year, including MotorStorm. I expect this to be a launch title, and I cannot wait. Also, don't forget the ducks. There will be another ducks demo, and they should show the Cars demo that amazed the audience at the Game Developers Conference. Metal Gear Solid 4 will also feature, but since Hideo Kojima has his own conference, the Sony speech may not feature everything the game has to offer.
Sony has already confirmed that they will show the final controller. This may be the same controversial controller with a few tweaks, or a totally different controller. But I do not expect them to wow us with a DualShock 3 that looks exactly the same as the DualShock 2.
What a lot of graphics enthusiasts will be looking for is final RSX specifications, and I believe their wish will be granted during Sony's conference.
And finally, Sony will announce a list of titles to expect at the PS3's launch. Furthermore, it will provide more specific dates for each region, whilst sticking to its November worldwide launch.

Thanks for reading, and be sure to check out PS3Land throughout next week to catch up on the latest developments from E3 2006.
