http://www.psu.com/forums/threads/270417-Sony-s-first-party-strategy-is-really-paying-off

I can see Cuguy has posted in why he thinks it should be closed but frankly it is not good enough.

We go over a lot of the same topics multiple times and after all the negative news that Sony has gotten over the years it's about damn time we got some positive news.

If old topics were an issue then there would be many threads needing to be closed down, when they could at least be merged with others rather than shut down without discussion.

Could someone have some kind words with Cuguy and reopen this call.

Surely you know by now this isn't the way to go about things. You should have PMed Cuguy. I'm sure he would be happy to explain further his decision. And if you did PM him, you should have just PMed him.

[edit] To be honest, I think he explains fully why.

Really... this again?

List war repackaged in yet another blog style post.

Didn't we just go over this in two or three other threads in the last week?

I reported the post but that is no guarantee of an answer.

Threads should be merged if anything not closed.

Why question a staffs decision in a thread like this? You should have just pm'd him. I dont speak for other staff but I know threads are only closed when needed. We don't get a kick out of closing them.

And actually your report has been looked at by myself. I have flagged it for Cuguys attention. Please don't assume they just ignored.

How come comparison threads are allowed then? They always degrade into the same idiotic babble.

You don't see a problem with closing a thread for reasons of already discussing said topic before.

Well why not just close down half the threads that exist, there is no logic.

Don't lie. You do especially.

I hope your joking.

Anyway, this will go no where. I'm closing this because this is between the OP and Cuguy. Only Cuguy can answer his question so OP, PM him. If Cuguy wants to make a public reply he will do.

Closed.

I closed it because the very topic, the very exact same discussion has already taken place in at least two other threads in the past two weeks.

It just didn't need to happen again.

It was the start of yet another list war thread brewing, and I don't see why just because the original discussion threads died, this one should be allowed to stay.

@noxia

It isn't because it would have degenerated as the reason to close it... it is because it was already recently gone over. I explained that in the reason it was closed. There have been dozen page threads about this topic. Rehashing it because some blog twit restated it and called it new news. There are plenty of other threads that already exist that this topic could be discussed, so I killed this one.

Simple.
