So i got out of a 2+ year relationship and now i got this ring to sell but don't have any experience doing so. Anyone know a good place to sell one? i've never sold off ebay so i don't really want to do it that way. Anything will help. If it helps its a 14 carrot diamond silver gold ring. If you buy any chance looking for a ring for your love one message me and ill hook you up with pics.

If it's still under warranty, take it back to the store and get your money back. Please tell me you didn't go to Jared.

Not sure being dumped qualifies as a reason to get money back.

You sure about that? Unless I'm misunderstanding, there's no way it's a 14 carat unless it's fake. The engagement ring I bought my wife when I was in college was like 1/3 carat and retailed over $1000.

Either way, I'm not sure what you could do other than go to a pawn shop and ask what they'll give you for it.

Keep the ring. Save it for the next girl who is truly worth your time a few years down the road.

That's what I've done.

Edit: Also, I feel your pain. If you want to talk about it, shoot me a PM k? :)

Ebay or take it to a jeweler or something. I wouldn't say pawn it because you aren't going to get anywhere close to what it's worth.

Don't tell her.

In my case it's a bit different since my grandmother willed it to me before she died (it was her ring) to use for that special someone I choose.

Keeping that kind of info from your GF is just asking for trouble down the road.

Obviously you tell her that at one point, you were thinking about becoming engaged (or were) to someone, but why blab about the specifics of the ring?

I dunno, maybe you have a point but its such a horrible waste.

Do it like in American Wedding..get a box of chocolates..eat a few, then take a dump, and mold it into what the chocolate candy looks like, bake it, but not very long, for a short time..put in fridge to cool down and harden a little..send her the box saying "truce, can we be friends?" and then she'll be in for a turdy surprise..hahaha, ultimate revenge...or yeah, just sell it..I wouldn't advise pawn shops, they are major rip-offs..go to a jewelry store that deals in buying back gold/silver etc..but get an quote from both I guess..

Hahaha, yeah, I had to re-read that a couple of times. He must mean the band is 14K gold, and the diamond is probably 1/4th or 1 total, or synthetic.

Ohh its not fake go got it from people. Imm no expert but thats what it says on the inner band part.

Something like that. This ring looked better the the ones around a grand imo.

Yeah, I misunderstood when you first said it. I was thinking that you were saying it was 14 carats worth of diamonds, which is obviously not the case. For some reason the band being 14kt didn't even cross my mind.

The thing with Ebay is, who would buy it? I don't know that I'd ever buy a ring on ebay from an individual. Too risky. Then, if you sold it what's stopping them from scamming you on it somehow? Claiming its fake and changing it or something along those lines.

Yeah, it sucks trying to sell it to a pawn shop, but you're not going to get $600 no matter who you sell it to.

Take it to a jeweller and get a free quote.
If your happy with the offer then sell it to them.

It wouldn't be worth hanging onto no matter the cost so i say get rid of it.
