I was perusing the news articles for Playstation network on google and found and article on PSXtreme. Apparently the network is up and running in Japan minus the store which was expected. Just lets you know that there is light at the end of this tunnel and this might finally be over. Looks as if Sony will make their deadline as NA and EU are supposed to be back up tomorrow!

It's still not confirmed that it's up in Japan yet.

And some are still saying (people that reside in Japan) that they can't access PSN...so it's yet to be something concrete. Unconfirmed until otherwise noted would be better thread...

True no actual story confirming but multiple outlets are reporting similar stories plus this. Not sure if it is talking about the Announcement from Sunday or based on actual service restoration.

I think the fact that Sony Online Entertainment just announced they were suspending ALL network operations until a new found "issue" can be fully investigated and resolved puts this very much in doubt.
