Its football season and I am all fired up. If you guys didn't know, I am a football player. I'm a guard actually(yipee). However, this week was hell. Laps and laps of running and I am sore as hell. I do not know if I will be able to even live through the next day. Anyway, anybody else here a football player?

I'm primarily a Basketball player. One of my best friends is one of the best CB's in the district.
Oh man, I hear you. I'm a football player for my high school team, I'm a Defensive End.
We're under CFL Regulations, though I'm an NFL guy.

I play football for my high school, I am on the JV team, and play wide reciever and cornerback, i also play on kickoff. Tomarrow we play out big rivals, so I am hoping we pull out the win.
I broke my ankle in football so I'm in a boot for three-four weeks. :(

Yeah everyone keeps gettin onto me for not playing football. I'm about 6'8" and 280lbs now. I packed on 25lbs in one month rofl and I'll lose it pretty quick hopefully. I used to play quite a bit of basketball, still do out of HS. Maybe I'll play again this year. But back to it I love watchin football and throwin the ball around, but everyone nags on me for never playing because of my size. I can take the beating, but I bruise like crazy, and I play paintball, even more bruises lol.
Everyone says I have the potential and I would be even more of a monster if I hit the weights more, but I'm lazy.
Remember kids, if you take Super Drill, drink a lot of water or you will DIE!!!

#1: Rugby is over-rated.
#2: Any sissy la la can train to run for any extended period of time.
#3: Soccer can qualify for more than a girly sport on some occasians, like when I played it in 7th grade and me and this kid collided and I broke his colar bone. But that never happens on purpose or on regularly.

Well are you on the football team in your school. You can use that brute force for defensive linemen.

Yep basketball is more of a man's sport. The game of basketball is 75-80% mental and that's where mature decisions and thought come into how one plays the game. Plus when you play people my size or bigger, it can get pretty dang physical.

Yeah, I'd hate to run into a 280 lbs. guy when I'm going to the hole. I'm 6'4" but I'm at 175lbs. Been trying to gain some weight.

Try Wrestling, that is 100% mental and 100% pyshical. Yes thats right, you need 200% of your ability to do that sport. It doesn't come natural, you need to know what move is best for the situation your in. When to do it, how to set it up. If you're strong enought to set it up, all the while constantely moving. It's true that a wreslting match only lasts for 6 minutes at max, and its against people you're own weight. But for good reason, because if you're not completely wiped out by the end of that match you either didn't try, or the kid you wrestled didn't try.
It's 1 on 1 in the good ole ring, you don't have four other guys helping ya out to get the job done. You have to rely on you.

That's turning into basketball thanks to Iverson, Marbury, Steve Francis, and other ballhogs. Sorry, had to mention that.
But the way you put it it's be wrestling>Basketball>Football in terms of one's own skill. In football, a QB has 5-6 guys blocking for him so he can pass.

When you look at the NFL now and days, it's diffenetely not as tough as it used to be. With all the procausions they make to protect players. Some of them you can understand, but there are others that are just retarded. Theres no doubt that playing QB you're the most protected athlete of that field...

Soccer is all that is man! HOW DARE YOU!!!
Ill probably play only play for JV basketball this year...and tribunal how could you call soccer a sissy sport and track a mans sport? They both require just as much endurance and sternght :| ....and 7th grade soccer doesnt really compare to HS soccer.
It's all what you put into it....except Golf. Pretty tough to get hurt in golf.
I had guys on my hs football team that slacked off and felt barely any pain. Then there were a few like myself that pushed ourselves to the limit every day. I got 4 concussions and multiple torn ligaments throughout my body for it.
I will say that my hs wrestling and basketball teams traded places for practice one day because the basketball players were saying how much tougher their sport was than wrestling. (I still wrestle D-I in college). That was definetely the easiest practice of the year, and every single basketball player gave up on the challenge within 35 minutes. Maybe not a good representation of the sport all around, but I personally can't see how it can even be compared to wrestling. Hell, I love football, played rugby some, boxed.....wrestling's definetely #1.
I'm half an half on soccer. Kinda like the football analogy, can or can not be tough depending on what a person puts into it.

Seeing how I ran varisity cross country and track in high school...I rather take offense to that. If you want to call it a "sissy" sport again, I'd glady call you out as an immature child...I worked by ass off every day running 5-11 miles and then worked out in the gym.
Go try to run a marathon and then call long distance running a sissy sport...then you can come back and open your trap...until then I suggest you shut your mouth and grow up.

I don't think any sport is a sissy sport. They all take dedication, mental and physical dedication, and pain. Heck we had to run 9-15 laps around the field and I was about to throw up of exhaustion.
Rugby looks dangerouse. Ouch, no Pads. I bet someone has broke his leg in half by playing lolerz.
