It is getting a lot of these type of games. Robot Rescue Revolution, Great Little War Game and around five or more other ones have been announced/show so far.

Yup I have picked up on this as well. Small independent developed games. Sony were talking about how they want to support independent developers with the Vita. So they are pricing the Vita development kit very low @ 1,900 EURO (just to give a comparison the original PSP development kit was 15,000 EURO) and are even giving them away free for those who can demonstrate they have developed games elsewhere i.e. on the iOS and Android App stores.
Sony have also put more money into their PUB Fund initiative (to give exclusive PSN games for both PSV and PS3) and the work started with PlayStation Mini's seems to be transitioning over to the PlayStation Vita.
To be honest in my view this is the bigger leap for Sony than big-traditional graphically intensive games such as Uncharted Golden Abyss. Independent games can give far more new innovative concepts, more pick-up-and play type games as well of course significantly lower prices which the Vita (and indeed the 3DS for that matter) both desperately need.
Sony need to hammer forward with these initiatives and even progress to making an open 'App' store for the Vita which also showed signs of progress at Gamescom through the announcement of four dedicated PlayStation Vita apps (twitter, facebook, foursquare and skype).
Progress on these fronts coupled with a lower-price would enhance the chances of the PlayStation Vita succeeding.
Ignore double-post - forum seems to have an issue with posting replies for some reason.
