Street Fighter X Tekken producer Yoshinori Ono has recently stated that the game will have add-on content available to download quite early. "Post-launch for an allotted period of time there will be free DLC and paid DLC, and it will keep going for a while." said Ono, speaking to Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/16/vita-street-fighter-x-tekken-will-share-dlc-with-ps3-version-ma/).
The great part is that Ono plans to make each piece of downloadable content cross-platform between Vita and PlayStation 3.
“With the PS3 and the Vita, yes, they're different hardware, but they're part of the same Playstation family, so to speak,” Ono said, “so we're already talking with Sony about ways to sync things together. As long as you're using the same PSN account, things you've purchased on the Vita version will work on PS3 and vice versa."
It is unknown whether we’ll have to purchase both PlayStation 3 and Vita versions seperately as well, however, we’re glad to see this type of Vita and PS3 cross-functionality already in motion.

That is really cool. Sony are doing everything right with Vita.

+ LittleBigPlanet.

EVERY game should do this, any game that doesn't won't be getting my money.

was it turbograffix that came out with a handheld where you could take the little card and plug it in to console and handheld? Never had either, but always wanted something like that eventually, might be coming closer to that.

Vita is the future of handhelds. Right now it's setting the standard for all handhelds to come.
The vita had some stiff competition with what can be done on tablets so I think in a way this has helped the Vita become more awesome.
