Can you only pay some of the total in person or can you do it online too? Do you have to pay the total when you preorder online?

shouldnt have to. i think most places require a minimum though. there should be a way to do this. Im picking mine up from Best Buy, they required a $10 minimum deposit but i went to the actual store. Ive never pre-ordered anything online before, im not sure how thats going to work.
online doesn't have a minimum. They charge you when its shipped. So you might want to have the money in the bank, 3 days before release. Sometimes they bill around 11pm or early as 7pm before...
I've never had an online pre-order require a deposit. Floetry is correct in that most places, all that I've ever used, will charge you when the product ships.

I went into the store and got it preordered along with Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
I know I have a long time to wait, but I am very excited. :D
