Apparently in FFT-0 Ultimania's interview (it's a Japanese exclusive guide which has all kinds of info & insight on different aspects of the game, with plenty of tidbits/interviews from people of the development team), Tabata confirms that Square Enix is "working hard" on the localization of Type-0 before the team moves on to other projects.
He also talks about the future of FF Type-X, mentioning that he'd like to do a direct sequel to Type-0 (Type-0-2? :p) as well as a "true" sequel, which would be Type-1 (like how FFVII is a sequel to FFVI). Whatever the next game will be, apparently they are already working on the framework of FF Type-X's future. He also states that he'd like to develop the next game for consoles (which is weird, as Type-0 was originally revealed to be kind of like a "beginning" of a handheld FF series that is on par with mainline console releases).
