What the heck. Now that you mention it, yeah, it really does look like a spade XD Capelli is pretty much gambling everything on his trip to New York so you can view it as such.
On a side note.. He never asked for this -__-

I didn't use one. I wanted to try on my own and see what happened...not much as you can tell xD

I guess you meant me. But the thing is that I like to learn by experimenting. Hell, I know I'm pathetic.
By the way thanks for the 'FYI'.
Everyone has been at the same point as you. I agree with MC, tutorials are really great for learning the basics and I highly recommend them for you. They give you the basic outlines to making a sig, introduce you to different methods and tools and are essential for discovering new tricks. Experimenting is great, but you should learn the basic principles and outlines of sigmaking first to really gain something from those experiments.

OK I'll head right on to some tutorials :)
Thanks

Here I am. Consulted a few tutorials and though I couldn't all of the stuff in them, I'm pretty much satisfied :)

Gimp 2.6. I tried Photoshop CS5 but didn't like it too much. Maybe because it's not noob-friendly.

OK
The only problem i have with CS5 is that its hard to crack it.
btw. i noticed your signature is too big. 500x130 is the max size i guess.

Nah.. you have to use little snitch and stuff to block cs5 checking if the serial number is a legit one or not.
OK this is getting way too off topic lets stop here.

Wow, I'm the complete opposite. I would rather use Adobe Photoshop CS5 over GIMP. I feel like the latter is a lot more restrictive in what you're allowed to do.

I do agree that Gimp doesn't have as many features as Photoshop but it's just a matter of personal opinion I think. Heck, I might even find some time one of these days and try out Photoshop properly
I still use GIMP myself. I tried Photoshop but it was a bit too complex for me(Although I didn't really give it a chance). I also rarely use tutorials for the same reason since the majority of good tuts are specifically for Photoshop.

Damn it!
Nothing is more annoying then finishing a sig, then realizing that it can't be used for the SOTW as planned.

Yeah even I feel the same way. Any particulars tips for a newbie like myself? :snicker
I use GIMP too, even though I have a CS5. Never really bothered to even try it out really, I'm too cozy with GIMP now
Oh yeah, I probably should start my entry, been a long time since my last one.
