I think it would be cool if we recruited members from other message boards. I consider this a 1st class forum, although I have never been a member of another forum I have read the posts and they are not the quality of the post on these forums, although some members stick out. So I was thinking the best mebers of other forums deserve to be on a better forum so they could be recruited to this forum.

How it would work.

Step 1. People on these forums volunteer to be on the "Recruiting Board".

Step 2. Admins/Mods assign these Recruiting Board members to a gaming forum.

Step 3. These now assigned members of the Recruiting Board would go to the message board they were assigned to and watch over the post (like a hawk) and keep tabs of the good posters.

Step 4. Members PM's/IM's/E-mails these good posters and ask them to join the PS3FORUMS.

Nah, I think we have enough people. And why would you want to get more people. It's as active as it is. When I come on, I can't even read all the posts.

We could get better posters, the good posters of their forums would be good posters on this forums. This way we could have more great posters, some of those people would love to post her they probably just don't know that their is such thing as a forum that has sensible post. Look these post, they are horrible (as a whole not all of them) but if we can find the diamonds in the ruff it would be better for us.

I hope your kidding. Have you gone to Gamefaqs boards and seen how many people and topics there are? There are active posters on SNES games and Atari boards. On the PC board there's a new topic every 1 minute! and 50 pages from the last week.

More people mean more topics and bigger chats which we need. (except the PS3 vs Xbox360 vs REV board). When I come here there aren't enough post to read.

Adamba4e's idea is very new and never has been done before.

Well i guess it wouldn't hurt to try... But you have to take into account that since they are such great posters on another forum they could have been a member of for years or have a high rank in that forum sort of makes me think that they might deserve a kind of high up front title if they were recruited like make them a member or dedicated member right off the bat because it surely wouldn't be nice for noone to listen to them considering their rank showing here could be newbie so they wouldn't be thought of as the great poster they are.

I think this idea is okay, however it shouldn't be a formal thing. If members wish to recruit new, high quality members from other forums that is okay, but theres no need to setup a formal structure.

One thing to note: do NOT just go to other forums, sign up, and make posts saying "COME TO THE PS3FORUMS ITS BETTER THAN THIS FORUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". This will not get us anywhere, and it will the forums a bad reputation. The better approach is to join another forum, and after making some posts and being a member for a little while, PM the better posters and say "Hey, you make some high quality posts. Have you been to PS3Forums.com before? I'm a member there and they really focus on having high quality disucssion -- you'd fit right in! Anyways, look forward to reading more of your posts! Bye!"

I'm going with hoverbike I think this is something you can do on your own time or just tell one or two friends. Any how I don't see what real good it would do. it's not like were geting a lot more new info from having more people.

More people have more things in common with other people so lets say if there's 12 000 members there's a higher chance that some people out of that like what I like. With only 3300 members people talk about things no one else cares about.

My FFT topic isn't going very far and I really like Gameshark hacking for FF9,FFT,FF7,super mario world, and other games.

I enjoy hacking with game shark too 8) Especially for games that have no cheat codes, MGS 1,2,3 are especially fun to play with stealth(if you can't get it yourself) and there are many other things you can do but since I am getting off topic I will just say my thoughts on this idea, if we do that it will be like having 2 forums which the admins and mods would have to watch over. My opinion, I don't think it will work.

I wouldn't mind that idea, if this forum wasn't so strict on advertising other websites. I mean, blatant advertisments are bad, but some people just add it as a secondary part of their post, and still get warned. It would be hypocritical for us to go advertising on other forums, even if it was just through PM's.

Looks like I have been recruited to another (new) PS3 forum, they seem to think I am a good poster with good ideas to help the forum. I wonder if they stole my idea of recruiting.

I got that PM message as well. The board only has 2+ members so far.

Yeah, I got that message also. They must be sending it to random people, cause how in the hell could anyone think that I am a good poster. LOL

Well i got it too so something must be up... And it said that they wanted me because i was " such a good poster and soo active" , I think this is one big chain mail letter to pretty much go and advertise their site...

unr3stricted is right. it would be stupid and unfair for us to go advertising our forums to members of other forums, if we are so strict against it.

yes!!!its better for us to not call anyone..if they want they come here and register..its better than call them here..it seems we're desperate for new members and its not that at all!!i'm positive they have already heard about this site,if they like it they will come!

Chronicles of Riddick could be seen next generation style real soon!

Easily one of the best Xbox games could be making its way to the Xbox 360 and PS3. The chronicles of Riddick: Butchers Bay was on a recently released list of games that could be making their way to next generation platforms. If you don’t remember, the game was one of the highest rated Xbox games made. The game is based off the nearly successful blockbuster “The Chronicles of Riddickâ€

Ok just read through the article...it's completely baseless to be honest. There's nothing solid in your article to even suggest Chronicles of Riddick is coming to either platform.

Thus, I don't think this should go up.
