According to Al Strong (http://forum.beyond3d.com/showpost.php?p=1647369&postcount=3169) @ B3D, the resolution varies, he seems to believe the resolution may be dynamic.


Definitely 720p no AA.

edit: oops, looks like one of the shots goes under (way under... ~810x560... hard to tell exactly). Guess it's dynamic. One of the shots also has a post-AA filter on top of 720p.

Screenshots look like crap but in motion it looks much better.

Wow that looks atrocious. Still, didn't have high hopes for it anyway, will be replaying MGS4 soon to make up for it.

But yeah, three reasons I don't care for this game:

1. They changed it from an interquel to a sequel.
2. Graphics look worse. Everything is more flashy.
3. "Revengeance" subtitle. Metal Gear Rising sounds just fine without it.

It's a hack 'n slash, not really needed to be graphics heavy. It'll improve anyway.


But yeah, three reasons I don't care for this game:

1. They changed it from an interquel to a sequel.
2. Graphics look worse. And everything is more flashy.
3. "Revengeance" subtitle. Metal Gear Rising sounds just fine without it.

As long as the game is good though, I give zero fucks about these things.

Yeah I agree screenshots look pretty weak. Don't really care for the game. But I'd still give it a shot.

Games like this always look better in motion. Bayonetta was another. But yeah, stills do it no justice.

This game is one massive disappointment for me. I really enjoyed the original theme and footage we were shown, but this just looks generic in every way.

Holding all reservations on this game until I get my hands on it. I'm not happy that it's a sequel since it's sort of making a laughing stock of the well-established timeline (made more sense when it was an interquel), but as long as the gameplay is ace I could care less.

These are my main concerns and grievances with the game. I feel kind of cheated out of finding out the true events behind Raiden's cybernetic rise....hopefully Kojima revisits the original MGR concept
