i am having a little trouble with xbox live at the moment
i am currently going online fine through xbox live via ICS on my pc which has zonealarm firewall installed
however i can only get a moderate NAT
this is of course limiting me to talk to my friends online and play games with them
does anybody know how to get an "open" NAT in this type of configuration?
many many thanks
dave

Open ports 88 and 3074 on your router and see if that helps. You might have to setup your 360 with a static IP...or I think ICS might give the 360 a static IP.

i dont have a router, its just a usb modem
ive opened those two ports
the problem still pursists though
a note of interest though when i turn down the zonealarm security from "high" to "medium" it works fine
i wonder

I don't know much about zone alarm...but I 99% sure you can set your own custom settings...without using the program I can't tell you exactly what to do, but set it to high and play with the settings.

If you can set up port forwards on Zone Alarm, then forward all the port to the Xbox 360's IP address, which you can find under it's network settings. Try to make sure your PC is never that address though, or you could have problems...
You can always set the IP of the 360 manually, but would would have to copy most of the settings off the PC using
Start->Run "command.com" "ipconfig /all"
