It'll still be huge, but not as great as with an HDTV. Don't worry, you'll notice it. It'll be like watching the preview clips on the computer that aren't in HD

just burn the good quality videos onto a disc and play it on your tv through your dvd player. And don't worry their will be a HUGE difference for SDTV users

Yes mate it will still be miles infront I own a 360 and run Ghost Recon, Dead or Alive etc on a standard Sony 32inch screen and the games still look awesome. The only major benefit from HD is the sharpness of the picture, I notice less jaggys on my standard telly than playing at a kiosk because your not so close as at a kiosk. The graphics on PS3 will blow you away on any set PGR3 looks off the hook on a standard set...

They'll be in a better quality than the clips on the computer that aren't in HD. I went to best buy one day, and saw a standard sony tv, and an HD sony TV. I don't know what the max res of the HD TV was like, but there was little to no difference.

I've watched FFX cinematics, and they look better than ps2 realtime gameplay. Well, that's going to carry to the ps3. The games will look a few gnotches below cinematics, but much better than the ps2's realtime. If the cinematics looks "so amazing," on my standard definition TV, now, then I'm sure i'll notice the difference in gameplay, because at the moment, when ps3 games are in motion, there isn't much of a difference between the realtime and cinematics.

Think about it. HD TV's don't improve the expirience by miles and miles. If you have a decent TV (not something that has a dial you have to turn, to get channels 1-9), then games for the ps3 could look as good as the cinimatics you've already expirienced on the games today. They won't look crappy/just slight better than ps2 games. There's going to be a huge jump.

my sentimates exactly. If you want a meshed, good looking image, then the standard TV is in some ways better. HD TV's show off images so sharp, nothing meshes with the jagged edges. With standard TV's, you might miss some textures, or far off objects, but it's not something to cry over, and your picture will be better blended.
