yo wussup with that final fantasy thats coming for PSP is it a game or a movie? and will it only come out for PSP, becouse if its a movie it got to come out for VHS, or dvd.

wow, those r AMAZING grphics.....even tho i never bout any FF stuff and not a big fan, i might buy this 1......agan, WOW :o
The Advent Children graphics shown above aren’t even close to the ones found in Spirits Within. Luckily Square Enix has already announced those are just teasers and aren’t the final result.

I have a feeling why they changed tifa's clothes,in ff7, the only thing stopping you from seeing her panties are bad graphics, her skirt was waaaaaaaaaaay too short. So if they come out with a game sequel too, they might wanna incorperate the same clothes from AC to the sequel :lol:

Lance you got to figure its been 2 years, I’d hope she changed her clothes at least once. Tifa, Rinoa, bah! I think Marlene looks more like Rinoa then Tifa, a child Rinoa that is. Well I’m just glad Square Enix has bigger plans graphic wise then what they’ve released. I’d be pissed if the movie came out looking like that.
What can I say this film looks ab-so-positively amazing! Those sreens are really good. I'm really looking forward to this. Does anyone know when the European release will be? Will it be coming to the cinemas or will it just be appearing on DVD?

Yea that was what I thought. I'm pretty sure I knew that anyway, but thought I would better just check. After the faliure of FFSW at the big screen Square don't really want to release FFAC at the cinemas, which makes sense.

If it does hit the Cinema's it will almost be liek a craze maybe even as big as the Harry Potter movies with a line for the movie all the way near the freakin entrance to the cinema!!!

Do you not remember Final Fantasy: The Spirits within? That was a huge box office flop, it's going to depend how well the story is.

and how good the commercials are. TSW had almost no comms and flopped. King Arthur (just released) is getting bad sales and also had very little comms. Although i do advise evrybody to go see KA its a very good movie.

Baah, Gladiator is the best film in existance.
TLOTR was good, a bit too kiddy for me. I loved Gladiator, its still in my top 10 favourite films.

I completely disagree with you there Evo. Imo FF TSW was not rubbish. Infact it made the most realistic CG Characters ever. The story line was average, but the film as a whole was pretty entertaining. I would certainly not call it 'rubbish'.
But FF AC will be completely different because it's based on a Final Fantasy game this time. However, not just any game, its going to be based on Final Fantasy 7, which was arguably the best RPG ever made and now all the people who enjoyed Final Fantasy 7 so much are getting a chance to see a continuation of that incredible story.
For the first time in Square’s history they are actually continuing a FF story rather than starting with a completely different story and characters. This film will be enjoyable to anyone who loved FF7, but not so much to someone who never got into the Final Fantasy series or who hated FFTSPW.

Well, I guess it all comes down to a matter of opinion. Ive never played FF7. the first FF game I played was FFX. I didnt play FFVII because the graphics arent good in todays standards, Good for PS1 though.
I dont think you can make those type of films and expect most peple to take them seriously. Alot of people would rather see a proper film with real actors. Thats how pixar and dreamworks have got it right, they make comedies.

Advent Children to screen in Venice
Special preview of the CG movie sequel to Final Fantasy VII to be shown at 61st annual Venice International Film Festival.
Square Enix will screen a special preview for the upcoming CG movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children at the Venice International Film Festival in September. The preview will be shown as part of "Venezia Digitale," the new digital category at the 61st annual film festival being held in Venice, Italy. Advent Children, which is still in development, is the straight-to-DVD movie sequel to Final Fantasy VII, which was released for the PlayStation in 1997. The DVD is scheduled for release late this year in Japan. Square Enix is also planning to release a version for the PSP on the upcoming device's proprietary UMD media.

Whats unfair about it. All movies have screentests so they can change or add things if they dont get a good response by the viewers. The screentest of Blade 3 took place earlier this year and it doesnt come out till ages yet. It allows the companies to make some changes in time for the films release.

Do you know what a preview is? Its when the entire movie is released for one day in a certain type of theatres/cinemas. Not very many people would get to go if its only in one theatre (like in venice) but still...they get to see no?

Yes there will be. New characters include Denzel (an orphan), and Kadaj Loz and Yazoo (silver haired brothers similar looking to Sephiroth, they're the bad trio.)
I've read that Square is making a FF game for the PSP called Crisis Core: FFVII. I'm not sure of the details (you can look that up), but the dat says Q1 2006.
AAAANND someone said FFVII doesn't have good graphics!!!??!?! IF you haven't played it, go back and do so. In fact, you should go play them all. VI, V, and VII were particularly amazing.I think 99% of FF fans agree that graphics are VERY secondary to gameplay, story, and character development. Graphics aren't everything. That rubbish of FFX-2 proves that.

Um...FFVII came out a LOOOOOONG time ago on the PSOne. Of course the graphics aren't spectacular.

Yeah, it's sort of odd! It's like, ER is better than Friends! Or The Firm is better than Peter Pan. You should only compare things that are similar in genre! Otherwise you're not making a point! You're being bombactic!

And the Crisis Core thing, I think you're thinking of FFVII-Dirge Of Cerberus. It's based on Vincent and apparently it's supposed to be an action genre game! Looks good though!!!

Actually i read somewhere, dont ask me where but it was a crediable site, that ff7 is to be made up of 3 or 4 parts, i cant remember exactly 1 part of course is ff7 for ps1, another is advent children the movie, and another is an aditional game for either ps2 or ps3(cant remember exactly because i've been doing a lot of ps3 research as well). and for some reason i have in the back of my mind another addition but cant put my thumb on it. all i know is there is tons to look forward too.
FF7 was a great game too, had to throw it out!
