Do you guys know that you can draw summons from enemies? There are some pretty good ones if ya do.

PS: The first summon (Siren) Is completely nude. The only thing blocking you from seeing the actual details is bad graphics and yellow hair in the geitile area. Is that right for a teen game?

Um. That post sounded very pre-pubescent. I don't see any reason why that should be banned. She is a mythical character, not unlike naked cupid statues that urinate into water fountains. Perhaps they should be censored too.

Thats not what i meant.......i know who she is, but for a kid like me who still lives with their parents, who look at what im damn doing the entire time, it kinda makes em wonder. Im a big fan of ancient mythology, but my parents dont know anything. Shes a good summon and im forced to only use it when my parents arnt around, same with shiva.

I like the cerberus summon, boss battles are so easy with it. IT TRIPPLES AND DOUBLES EVERYTHING! That means you can use cure all, like on ff7.

Sony has been battling Immersion for a while. Immersion, the company behind the vibrations, filed a lawsuit against Sony and Microsoft for patent violation. Mr. Gates, apparently, snagged a couple dollars from the cookie jar on top of his fridge, and payed his dues. Sony, on the other hand, took out a 4x4 and cracked it over Immersion's head. Immersion fought back. Immersions metaphorical tussle with Sony probably has quite a bit to do with the lack of vibration in the DualShockless3.

In a recent interview with Gamasutra (http://www.gamasutra.com/features/20060517/murdey_01.shtml#), Victor Viegas, president of Immersion, voiced his opinions about Sony's new controller. In the article, he stated that the vibration interfering with the gyroscopic funtions was fixable.

“If what they’re saying is in fact the reason why [the controller will not have vibration], I’ve offered them numerous solutions to the problem. I don’t believe it’s a very difficult problem to solve, and Immersion has experts that would be happy to solve that problem for them.”

Victor then talked about what his employees thought of the controller, from a gamers point of view.

“We had a lot of employees on the floor at E3, and many of them got to get their hands on the [Playstation 3] controller,” Viegas said. “They say it felt light, that it felt cheap and flimsy, and that it lacked weight or substance. Overall, they were disappointed.”

Quite frankly, Sony's reputation as a console manufacturer is getting it's ass kicked. Numerous developers have stated that they only knew about the controller changes the day it was announced. WarHawk's developers have gone on record saying that they knew about the controller changes only two weeks before E3.

If I were Sony, I'd be sweating bullets right now. The possibility of including vibration technology in the DS3 is looking grim now, but the option is still available on Sony's part.

Edited and Live!

Good article Ian - you quoted the most important parts, and linked the source.

Some advice for the future:

First paragraph was pretty unnecessary - I could see that you were trying to explain the situation with Immersion, but it was a bit too chatty and sounded unprofessional.

"is getting it's ass kicked." - that's a big NO NO! It's fine to say that Sony's reputation is being damaged, but try to stay away from possibly profanities and slang.

And finally, and this has nothing to do with the quality of your writing (which is great, btw); the controller is not called the DualShock 3 (or the DS3, as you called it). It's best to refer to it as the PlayStation 3 controller as Sony have, because firstly, it has no official name, and secondly, it can't really be a DualShock if it doesn't have vibration technology.

I'm looking forward to some more articles from you :)

I kind of disagree with sony getting damaged by that. We probably would have got less rep. with the other controller.

Yeah well it was a more preferrable alternative to "ass kicked"

I agree with you though, and I removed that sentence completely before going live.
