View Full Version : Sticky Separation Bar

Well now that there are so many stickies I find it a nuisance to look at which threads are stickied, and which ones are regular.

So what I am suggesting is take the topic gradient, and make a dividing bar under the stickied topics, it makes forums look a lot neater and organized, and looks good in general.

Here is what it might look like:

Yes it looks like a great idea. It would really help make it look better.

Although it would have to be something better than Ordinary Topics lol, that sounds a little too weird.

Still a nice idea, makes things easier to find, but then, look at the PS3 Discussion section, it has like maybe 10 sticky'd topics...it looks good when its like 2-5 topics, but more than that an it looks awkward...

Sticky: Whatever is good enough for me. But new members could benefit, and postings of existing Sticky topics will lower substantially

Elaborate a bit? That made little sense.

I like this idea. Sticky's get really annoying.

That is a great idea. I do hate to look at the sticky's first and then the general topics after. That will save time. The Admins must put this one in full force.

PS: When are the Admins coming back?

Who knows... bunch of lazy buggers. ;)

But seriously, I shall looking into implementing something like this. I'm not 100% sure its possible though.

I know it's possible, I've seen it elsewhere on phpBB.

It would be great if you can get this, good luck. (=

That seems like a nice idea but what is wrong with seeing a Sticky topic, I do not find this as a nuisance.

I never had a problem find a sticky seeing that they are at the top.

Have you ever been at Gamerenders forums? They have it, it's really convenient, trust me, and it's a breeze to do if you can edit the PHP directly.

What about the suggestion of just keeping the number of stickies to a minimum? It would be easier, more efficient and save adding an extra mod.

That works too. =P
Perhaps "destickify" any old topics that don't get replied to too often.
