Over the last 3 years, PS3Portal.com & PS3Land.com have been bringing you highest quality news & media anywhere on the web. Our fan base has been growing to a point where we currently get over 60,000 gamers every day! Our goal is to take this to the next level, to compete with the titans and offer a service tailored exclusively to the PlayStation experience.
Without further ado, we're pleased to announce that PS3Portal.com and PS3Land.com are joining forces to become the single largest independent PlayStation 3 website anywhere on the internet. And if that's not enough, we are launching a fantastic new website - PSU.com (PlayStation Universe) - over the next week, which we have been slaving away for over the last 6 months.
Professionally developed by a leading web development house – PSU.com has been a long term project that has we first conceptualized over a year ago. Designed to be the first magazine quality website dedicated to all things PlayStation – PSU.com will be launching to coincide with PlayStation 3's North American launch.
Providing PS gamers with all the latest Reviews, Previews, News, Cheats, Hardware Reviews, Videos, Images, Editorials and Interviews, as well as an extensive new member system which will allow members to upload their own gamer videos for free, PSU.com will be the place for PS fans.
PS3Portal and PS3Land will be used to point to the new site – but don't fret – all the news, articles, videos and screenshots will be transferred across to PSU.com. Combing the two sites also means combing the two staff teams – which means twice the coverage.
We are going to be adding thousands of reviews, previews, exclusive media, interviews, cheats and walkthroughs for you guys to enjoy.
All existing forum members will automatically get their own PSU.com account – just log in to the homepage with your forum details and you will be privy to Member only content – your own 'about me' page which holds your list of Favourite games, Collection and Wishlist games as well as space to write about what type of gamer you are. We will constantly be adding new features to the site so there will be always be new things going on.
You will be able to upload the latest video of you blasting Chimera in Resistance or burning up the fastest track times with Ridge Racer 7 for free with each member having unlimited youtube style capacity. The best videos will be placed on the homepage for thousands of gamers to watch in awe.
On top of this we have a whole bunch of exclusive interviews lined up and we will be upping our production of content across the board including new content types such as podcasts, video reviews, developer/publisher industry blogs, super HD media ec... The site also features plenty of user submitted content types which allows members to submit anything from cheats & walkthroughs to reviews. The best ones get put on the site and then other gamers can rate your content you submit.
