I've read about this...the asking price is to much plus the thing looks like a pain in the butt to use.

Blake

That's why it's called a PalmPSOne PS3. And no I would not expect this to be better than PSP, it's a very amature design obviously.

I guess that's because it was built by an amateur (note the spelling).

Sorry Blake, I know you are an administrator and all that, but of the last three posts I've read of yours, all have been critical and/or sarcastic in nature. What's the deal?

I dont think I have to explain myself to you and I barely call that harshness. But I'll say it once more, Im only like that towards certain members and Im only rude because the amount of useless spam has grown significantly. Im respectfull to almost anyone here except for a given few. Dont bring up old threads though please.

Yes...please don't bring up my dead old post...oh and another reason blake 'was' harsh was because of that member PS3 that is somewhere to be unknown

There is nothing wrong with bringing up old threads most of the time. However if the topic is stupid/outdated and has been dead a long time then in that situation you shouldn’t bring back an old topic. Generally though if the topic is genuinely interesting to a new member then its perfectly okay for them to comment about the article as long as it is still relevant to the times.

It might be old to most, but it was new to me at the point of reading! I only felt compelled to reply for reasons you now know.

No insults intended to anyone, but I've seen far too many forums used as a means to blow steam, or worse, over-administrated.

<.<
PS3 was tracking my IP lol.
So i learn some hacking thingies. I make my comp invisible on the net while getting someone else to use the tracing bot PS3 used on me and he used it to hack his comp with some kinda .cmd file and bo2k.
Anyuway the least i can say is that he is gone for now :)

Um..."looks over shoulder"..you...do..realise that PS3 has been let back on the boards right?

watashi

haha! lol yeah PS3 got reclaimed as an okay member...you know blake Ithink you raise your skill level everyday...it just gets bigger and bigger haha

Blake
11-13-2004, 09:02
I dont know what the deal is, seems the bigger my ego gets the skill level just follows suit..j/k. I'll problly give some of my skill level away to a few members here pretty soon.

I don't know why this idea was even put into development. This looks like the world's worst handheld. The design is awful, it's huge, and it plays outdated games.

The PSP is like sex in gaming form...it's just so sleek and cool :p And yes...this is very old. The price is too high, and it's beyond obsolete due to the PSP. And who would pay almost 3 times the price of the PSP for that POS? 500 bucks? Give me a break. Leave the handheld designs to Sony there buddy...

I think this guy just had too much time on his hands. I don't think he's going to produce it.

...peanutbutter...that was the most stupidest post ever...if you read it he said that he wanted to see if he could do it. if it's the worst hand held you should make one before saying anything. the design is not awful I believe it's very good because the back cover could help if he had gotten one...

The PSP was made after that...and he doesn't have all that technology...

if you're gonna go ballastic and say how bad something is, see if you can make it yourself...

it's like saying that story is horrible! and other people say it's good whereas they expect you to write one and you do and they say it's horrible...something like that...

*just getting the anger out of me somehow*

^^^^^^

I'm aware of how friggin old that page is. I know I couldn't make something like that. And I wouldn't. It's someone else's product. I'd be afraid of copyright issues. And 500 dollars is ludacris. The only way I'd buy that if I was rich and feeling sympathetic.

That was the "most stupidest post." That's the worst grammar on top of your blind ignorance of insulting me. Why don't you chill out a bit? People can have opinions. I'm sorry you were offended.

And I was saying it's obsolete meaning this page shouldn't be up anymore due to the fact that Sony has released their own handheld now. The only reason someone would buy this is if they are extremely hardcore and are rich or have rich parents.

*moving on*

/end rant

Slow your roll. It costs $500 to produce due to the fact that he desecrates 3 PSones to make it as well as putting in an LCD screen. I think it was just shared with us for pure amusement. I thought the idea of someone that hardcore was pretty cool. Just take it for what it is, a guy biding his time til the PSP comes out. Don't dis him, he has something we don't; he gets to play PS games wherever he goes...we don't. So kudos to him.

I'm aware of that. I wish I was that creative, but I suck =(

That has nothing to do with what I meant, but that's cool. You were just attacking me when I didn't attack you, and I find that childish...

Yeah i dont think he made it to actually to produce but instead for the challenge of making his psone into a handheld battery muncher.

Neat idea! a bit late though.
having it done 3 years ago would have been a lot better
for him the least. Maybe he would have had the chance to sell
some units or sell the whole design...
500$ for a prototype is actually pretty cheap
(think of the millions sony are spending on the PSP)
if it goes to production itll be a lot cheaper...

I like the design, its really big but IT IS smaller than a regular psone
battery life is really short though u cant really use it as a proper handheld
and it's really heavy because of the same problem...
Unfortunatelly he cant really do anything about it...

In rather predictable twist (http://www.ps3land.com/article-379.php), it appears as though the UK will only have the option of purchasing the $600 version of the PS3. SCEE boss Ray Maguire recently spoke with MCV (http://www.mcvuk.com/newsitem.php?id=1036) about Sony's pricing strategy in the UK. Ray told MCV that the $500 version lacked features that would sell the PS3 in Europe.

"The lower-end 20Gb version of PlayStation 3 has no wi-fi, no HDMI and none of the other slots in it, so it’s really a question of where we would position it. It’s more likely that we will only launch the 60Gb version," said Maguire.

"We have time to watch the yen and be flexible, but that 60Gb version looks like £425 in the UK at the moment. High trade margins in the UK are likely to see it come in with that kind of street price, though it’s ultimately up to retailers."

Impressive article Ian!

If you could do me (and Rebon) a really big favour by bolding or changing the colour of links in future articles - it can be slightly hard to notice because of the colour of the board skin and the colour of the text. Cheers :)
