WTF it looks horrible anyway, if it looks just as bad on PS3 then I won't be buying it on that eather. Who cares about this game it's like marmite you love it or you hate it. Playstation 3 has a varied line up of games coming to it with killer exclusives.
Wasn't it only 2 months ago Microsoft were telling us 1080p wasn't needed anyway. What happened there? they soon changed there tune. Now it's 1080p this 1080p that, look at us we can do 1080p so what your game looks like donkey crap.
Oh and as for the space issue Blue Dragon is comin on three discs now, they also said you didn't need Blu-Ray. Swapping discs very next gen :lol:

Microsoft didn't change their tune if you go back and read the press releases when the 1080p upgrade was announced (and BTW, this is not a Microsoft game, it's made by SEGA), they simply listened to the customers who were wanting 1080p and responded by granting their request, which is a damn positive thing to do. They still think 720p is the sweet spot, and more and more I'm thinking that seems to be the case.
I'd rather have a better looking game with more effects, varied textures etc than just higher resolution that I can't even take advantage of anyways as I don't have 1080p - think what Resistance on PS3 would've looked like if they'd pushed 1080p, it most certainly would have been downgraded in other areas, even the Resistance dev Ted Price agrees:
Over the past few months we've told all of the enthusiast magazines and websites that we will TRY for 1080p. And indeed we did try. But when we began making our final discs we made the decision to release at 720p. Why? Native 1080p (versus 720p scaled to 1080p) uses much more VRAM than 720p. When we finished up a few of our bigger levels at the very end of the development process we realized that we would have had to steal VRAM from some of our characters and environments to run in native 1080p. Some of you who aren’t familiar with hardware in general may be asking “So didn’t you say you freed up more space?” Well yes, but VRAM and disc space are two completely separate things. VRAM/RAM is the 512Mb of dynamic memory allocated to game assets at runtime versus the 25Gb or so of permanent storage on a single-layer Blu-Ray.
So, wait... Is this 1080p like PGR3 was 720p or is this 1080p like Splinter Cell was?
It's kinda hard to know these days ;)

Yeah, a Blu-Ray drive inside the 360 for playing games wouldn't really be quite as easy... ;)
1080p update = relatively simple software update
Blu-Ray update = breaking agreements with Toshiba, dropping support for HD-DVD, angering partners and shareholders, adding extra cost to the 360 console, creating even greater demand for Blu-Ray lasers (which means slowing down production of both 360s and PS3s), they'd splinter their userbase (angering consumers, game developers and publishers), added cost of redesigns to the hardware, added cost of promotion for Blu-Ray 360s, etc etc etc. Not gonna happen really is it? ;)

At least in the case of 1080p, they're acting on something they can actually do without potentially killing their console in the process, even though only a small minority of people can take advantage of it ;)

It's 1080p like the box says it is. It's a supported resolution, that's all you need to know.

It says in on the back of the box. What I'm wondering is if the PS3 version and 360 version share the same back cover? If so, this could be a minor oversite rather than Lefein's thanksgiving surprise. XD

BTW Sonic is not in 1080p native, its upscaled. The only game that I know of that is 1080p native is Lair and maybe Project Offset.

Although I think you are likely to be eating your words (if not your controller) at some point, I am with you on this one. I would need a lot more evidence that Sonic is native 1080P before I started breaking out the salsa.
There have been enought rumours floating around that have been shown to be untrue, that I would want some more proof.
I'm not saying that Sonic isn't, but I have doubts and I don't even have my digestive tract riding on it.

Lefein is signing an exclusive contract for the marketing rights of his posts here.Fox will do the movie(A Borat style documentary with Lefein visiting the Xbox360 forums out there), EA will do the videogame, to be released on the PS3, and the Xbox360(with updated marketspace/PS Shop content weekly).

If Sonic is only 1080p upscaled (which i'm almost certain it isn't), then DOAX2 is 1080p, and Lost Planet is definately.

The problem: By saying "I will eat a controller if I am wrong" you are purporting to either be some kind of authority on the subject or have some kind of insider information. In truth, this guy is just another r*****ed fanboy who wants to slag off Xbox in a way that he thinks will get most people's attention (hmmmm, the irony) and get more people to be persuaded along to his point of view. There is something inherently wrong in those kinds of lies, and I think whatever his name is (Lefty/Commie/something like that - I barely care to remember) should either apologise profusely to Bill Gates, Micro$oft and all Xbox fans and lovers out there and eat a PS controller - or never stake such a ridiculous claim again. (Does anyone consider his opinion valid after this? I will certainly never listen to his ridiculous surmisings.)
We, also, will not be satisfied until we see him grind down (a normal cheese grater should suffice, given enough elbow grease [that's slang for effort, in these parts]) and eat at least 50% of a Playstation (1,2 or 3) controller. (I'll send him one, my Playstation is just gathering dust).
