It appears my ship date could be pushed back another month into October. Bad news for those of you wanting to get rid of me, good news for the rest. :wink: This hasnt been confirmed yet but I'll keep you all posted, I cant gurantee when I'll leave but I can bet it'll be within the Sep-Nov time frame.

What T-shirt? Hey umm, Blake, this is kinda a stupid question, but are there comps in the boot camp (Please dont flame for that stupid question guys, im just curious)
I'll dicuss that with you on msn later dragon, I've had some thoughts in my head. As for computers in bootcamp, hell no...not where Im going. I wont even get to use the phone much less a computer. Around graduation time it's possible I could get access to one but dont count on it.

Erm, do you get a salary if you go to the marines or army? becasue you are missing college, there has to be some profit right? :o
Being in the military is a professional job...ofcourse you get a salary and everytime you pick up a new rank your salary increases. By the time you are a Sgt you are doing really well for yourself.
Also dont you get injury pay? so if you get shot in the ass you get a certain amount of money?

I meant your prolly not going outside the border so you dont have to be worrying of getting shot in teh 1st place :P unless ofcourse you accidently pull the trigger on yourself, but no onw would be stupid enough ot do so. :P :P
Im going into the infantry, Im 90% sure I'll be sent to Iraq within my first year of being a Marine. But we'll see.

Hey guys, some stuff came up in my medical documents (long story) so I might not end up going into the Marines at all if it doesnt get waivered. I'll know by Monday or Tuesday if the waiver goes through. In the meantime I better start looking at jobs and Colleges if this thing doesnt go.
Is it that metal plate in your foot thing? and if you want a job come to Canada We can use some more military up here. I heard some where Canada has the best trained soldiers in the world(not sure about that one) But I do know Canada's Air force traning is the best in world
Ikes Blake, how long have you been playing on going into the Marines? That would really suck if you couldnt go. Whatever you do just make sure it isnt working for McDonalds!! ;)

Ahh it's cool guys, Marines was a dream of mine but I cant live in the past. The fact is I did this to myself and Im facing the consequences of my actions. 2 or 3 years ago I used to be an avid pot smoker...the first time I went for inspection I didnt disclose this information to them, the second time I still failed to. The thing is when I was smoking marijuna it made me real depressed, my mom not knowing it was the drug causing this (or that I was on them in the first place) had me put on paxil. This caused a bad reaction and I ended up in the hospital. So Thursday I told them about the marijuna and being in the hospital but forgot to tell them about being on paxil....that right there could be the reason I get disqualified. If they feel like you are trying to hide to many things from them then it's harder to get a waiver passed...if I had just come up with all this stuff upfront I would not be in this situation right now. The good thing is if the waiver doesnt go through then I get to find a school close to home, theres no place like home. 8) Just have to get a job and get myself an apartment... :?
Right now Im thinking about taking some college classes and then once Im 21 joining the police force.

Yea, like I said it was around 3 years ago when I did it. Dreams not over yet because I have to see how the waiver thing goes...but if it is Im perfectly fine. So many other oppurtunities out there.
I have had so many dreams it isnt funny at first I wanted to be a marine biologist and study sharks then I wanted to be a special ops helicopter pilot and now I want to be a plumber and of course if I ever had the chance even though it isnt likely NHL

Drugs are a big deal as they can affect your performance in combat. And some can actually make you hot tempered. Now you dont want some guy on the battlefield shooting his comrades.
But i dont think pot is capable of diong that...
I did pot a long time ago, it was just the fact that I didnt disclose that information and I had an allergic reaction to it ending up in the hospital. It was my integrity that they were worried about, not the fact that I actually smoked pot.

More Final Fantasy XIII Games to Come?
Many Final Fantasy fans were recently elated at the news of not one, but three Final Fantasy titles to come. At their E3 conference, Square Enix announced Final Fantasy XIII (PS3), Final Fantasy Versus XIII (PS3) and Final Fantasy Agito XIII (Mobile Phones), all of which make up the saga called Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII.
According to IGN, the good news may not end there: in a financial briefing held in Tokyo on the 24th, Square Enix president Yoichi Wada, offered some insight into what may be yet more games to be developed for the series.
During the briefing, Wada showed a chart which listed not just the three announced Final Fantasy XIII games, but three empty spots which apparently represented games yet to come. It is unclear whether each empty spot represents a game, as Square Enix has yet to confirm any future plans. IGN speculates that "the chart was likely just for illustrative purposes".
What Wada has confirmed is that "in addition to non game-related goods, additional games are a possibility". Considering Square Enix has been focusing on many spin-offs and sequels, especially with Final Fantasy VII, more Final Fantasy XIII games to be developed are not unlikely.
Wada considers the Fabula Nova Crystallis project "as being on the scale of 100 billion yen"- double what he estimated for the Final Fantasy VII series, which includes a main game, spin-offs and a sequel movie.
Current Square Enix titles known to be development include the Final Fantasy XIII games as well as a Final Fantasy and a Dragon Quest game for the Nintendo Wii console. Rumors of a Final Fantasy game being developed for Microsoft's Xbox 360 have yet to be confirmed or denied by the Japanese games giant.
