Huh? what do you mean where did i get that from...get what from...the wallpaper?
Well mine is a mess with files and folders and nice job with the start menu did you just run a EXE to do that or did you go into windows registry and do it manualy?

I had to download the visual style (which can only be done on XP), replace some system32 files and then run a lil' EXE. which actually sets the files you replaced as a theme. once you run the EXE, the files are recognised as themes, and you can select them from the display properties.

Yep thats the one.
and you can download many styles (from icons to wallpapers) for it HERE (http://www.themexp.org/).
If you specifically want the start menu and task bar (Visual styles), THIS (http://www.themexp.org/listings.php?type=vs&view=date) is the direct link.
You don't nesessarily need StyleXP to install the styles, but StyleXP does help.
If you are still having trouble getting your desired theme/style to work follow the 'how to install' link at the top of the site i linked.
I suggest you use this http://www.filehungry.com/index.php?action=viewitemdetails&id=31717 It is really cool, I have it I am even thinking about buying the full version
I would show you my desktop but I don't know how to post pics I think I do but I need something to host it.

Try using PhotoBucket (http://photobucket.com/)...they have a free, quick and easy to use service....once you sign up for free you can upload pictures from your PC to your PhotoBucket account (which of course had as much space as you require), theres one catch...the free account can only upload pictures no bigger than 250Kb, if you upload pictures bigger than that they automatically resize them.
they accept only pictures of the the following formats: jpg, gif, png, bmp, swf.
oh...and you can upload upto 19 pictures at once.
An alternative is if you have a domain of webspace...than use that.

This seems to be going a bit off topic. Back to desktops please guys. I'd post mine but it's a bit booring at the moment.
Meh, someone tell me how to show it and...then I'll clean it up and let you guys see.
Press print screen(to the right of the F12 buttton) then go to any photo program like even window's built in paint is good enough and click ctrl P and it will paste it then you can shrink or what ever then get some image hosting thing to host the pic
Here you go
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v402/Blake04/desktop.bmp
Well it's not appearing to big, I'll see what I can do.

If you have photoshop, put it in there and rezize it to the pxs of your choice. Otherwise, cool wallpaper ;)
The image host wont allow me to have it any bigger, thats the problem.

The image host wont allow me to have it any bigger, thats the problem.
If you look back on the first page i used the same image host and i managed to host a larger picture.
Photobucket allow no more than 250Kb, the reason why mine is bigger than yours is becasue your one is bmp (Bitmap), which takes up more space per pixel than the jpg or gif formats.
Try converting it to jpg (AKA jpeg), or gif. you might be able to get a larger picture.

try not to use .bmp format unless you are left without a choice. Paint's default is .bmp, so you might wanna try PS7 or IR7. What you do is:
Open the file in the program(photoshop7.0)
Go to: File, Save As:
Where there is a lil dropdown box that tells you what format you are saving on, choose CompuServe (*gif)
Well if you already knew how to do that, then thats a brief tutorial for those who didnt :)
MAKE SURE YOU DONT SAVE IT AS A .psd PEOPLE! OTHERWISE YOU WONT BE ABLE TO UPLAOD IT. :o
Or you can just use paint, go to save as.... then change .pbm to .jpg and it will convert it
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v402/Blake04/untitled.jpg
Thanks for the tips guys.
Who's tip you use, by the way nice desktop.
Yours, saved as a .jpg in paint. I dont have photoshop, your's was the quickest and easiest.

theres a button on your keyboard that says 'Prt Scr' or 'Sys Rq' that copys the screen...this button is over the 'home', 'Insert', and 'Delete' buttons.
I keep tapping it and nothing happens :|

once you click the button, it copys your screen, but thats it. you gotta go somewhere where you can paste it. (like paint, thats what i use cause i dont have photoshop) And once you paste it, save it, host it online, and show us here.
Windows media player? whats your problem?
