Providing your daily supplement on Revolution rumors, version 2.0

I'm probably going to be doing many of these, so I've decided to make a nice little template for Revolution rumors, as follows:

Rumor:
Site providing rumor:
Quotes from site/blog:
Blog posts on rumor:
Broncostar's rumor rating (0-10, 0 improbable, 10 almost fully confirmed)

Well, I may as well test it out. As always, take this with a truckload of salt.

Rumor: The Nintendo revolution will be unveiled at an event today titled 'christmas comes early.'

Site providing rumor: TVG ( http://www.totalvideogames.com/news/Molyneux&_039;s_Revolution_Comments_Confirmed_8270_0_0.htm)
It's important to note that TVG is a very professional gaming site that wouldn't jump on every single Revolution rumor. The unveiling isn't even the main title of the article, interestingly enough, and is only lightly mentioned near the end.

Quotes from site: "TVG is expecting a Revolution announcement to occur very soon and will be at a Nintendo event tomorrow [August 25th, 2005] dubbed “Christmas comes early this year…”; we’ll have further information very shortly… "

Blog posts on rumor: None, although osoko tanaka's blog ( http://onlyntintendorevolution.blogspot.com ) Did post this nice little message on the 24th...

Today...IBM...has finalized Broadway Project...

You will see all specs, all...

Revolution is here, Revolution is coming...Is ready.

So many ...'s in that paragraph, it's almost like he's out of breath... but anyways, it's always nice to see a blog join in the fun on exploiting gamers around the world with made-up rumors.

Broncostar's Rumor rating: 3.5/10. It was interesting to see such a big gaming site follow on such a rumor, and at the same time keep it hidden... and Tanaka's post was also interesteing. Nevertheless, with only one site talking about it, it's highly doubtful. In the end, don't get your hopes up, but cross your fingers tonight if you wish.

So, that conference is today, right? It seems strange that Nintendo would make their unveiling THIS low-key.. Hmm.

SCi Entertainment announced that it has been approached with a probable buy out. UK newspaper, The Guardian, has reported that apparently Ubisoft is strongly interested in SCi.

To a letter to the London Stock Exchange (LSE), SCi confirmed that it's in the potential stages of a buy out discussion with an unnamed interest. According to The Guardian, however, Ubisoft is trying to buy them out once again. Ubisoft previously tried to buy out SCi, but nothing came of it.

Furthermore, The Guardian says potential offers could come from even Sony in regards to Ubisoft's move. Whether on not SCi sells, it will be multiplatform regardless, or we will be looking at a Hitman PlayStation series exclusive for life.
