So anyone get the private voice chat to work yet? Me and my brother were trying to use it, but it wouldn't work.

I'm referring to the chat where you hit triangle on a friends name and then hit start chat or somethin.

Yeah, make sure you're headsets are first registered on the PS3. But talking on the PS3 without being in the game is pretty cool.

Yeah, our headsets are fine, it just won't connect. Says to check our firewall settings and that we are NAT 3 or some junk when we run internet connection test. Neither of us uses any firewall that can be disabled, just normal wireless routers.

I didn't know there was anything but in game chat. Does this mean that that I can go to my friends list on the xmb and just chat no matter what they are doing?

Yes that works too. I know it does with Eyetoy anyway, It might also with any USB cam.

Yes you can. It doesn't matter what subscription you have. Features like that on the 360 are built into the hardware. So no matter what you are doing you can chat with someone while doing other things at the same time. You don't need to be doing anything game specific, not implying you do with the ps3.

k I still can't do friend to friend chat. I've been through all the settings in my router, so I have no idea why it won't work. Is no one else having this problem?

Have you checked on the website of the manufacturer of the router? i.e. a forum on there possibly, as there may be details of the issue with the particular model of router you have.

Incidentally it might help if you tell us what router model you have i.e. post the exact model number, and maybe someone here might have the same one etc.

Nath.
