Just curious if thers any 7.1 ch rays out there yet ie what titles if any?
I have both br and hd dvd and havnt found any 7.1s :shock:
ps im on a full hdmi yamaha rxv 2700 need to rock da house down lol
I've got about 25 Blu-Ray titles and none are in 7.1. I've seen a upcoming list that had a couple listed as 7.1, but don't remember what they were.
Might wanna check the specs on your receiver, I've read conflicting reports over on AVS if the 2700 actually does process 7.1 PCM.

The Descent has a 7.1 PCM track although the rear channels are duplicated. According to a post at AVS The Ghost in the Shell also has 7.1 PCM however I don't own it so I can't confirm.
7.1 is Dolby Digital Plus/EX

Yeah, but it's not uncompressed PCM, so I don't care. If it's not lossless audio I don't even want it.
The Descent which I've got on order is a 7.1 LPCM soundtrack, I can't wait to get it now :mrgreen:

i think i've seen 6.1, lol. But no 7.1 yet (that i've seen, anyway)
The Descent is listed as 6.1 on the box, but everything I've read says 7.1, as well as my receiver says 7.1 while the movie is playing without DSP.
The soundtrack on that movie is incredible, if you have a GOOD center channel speaker and a receiver capable of handling lossless PCM, turn it up loud when the monsters scream, it's amazing the clarity I get. Although that could be because I've got a center channel bigger than most peoples' subwoofers :)

Based on Blu-Ray Statistics (http://www.blu-raystats.com/Stats/Stats.php?OrderBy=Released) website, there are 59 discs with some sort of 7.1 audio.
In other wards, not many...

There aren't that many 7.1s out there comparedt o 5.1, I do have most of the 7.1 discs out there though. I own 185 Blu-ray discs and 97 HD DVDs.
There was a complete list at AVS but I can't find it anymore.
I do enjoy it, although I don't use the PS3 for Blu-ray. Thats what my Panasonic BD30 is for. YUM!
