Looks like sony assumed everyone has a high speed connection :(

I really think its necessary to have pausable downloads, yesterday for example i had tu turn my ps3 off and there was a download, it was like 30% but i lost everything, it would have been awesome to be able to pause it and continue later....

Multitasking is also needed, basically the same reason, they assumed everyone has high speed internet, i don't wanna be looking at the download screen for 3 hours...

you can expect this to be in a firmware update soon. Theres no way that sony can just look past these little issues. Theres supposed to be a significant update in march for the EU release, maybe we'll get lucky and itlll be in there :P

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that. But rest assured, Sony has GOT to be taking all these suggestions from the PS3 owners on fixes. Everybody is criticizing the PS3's online capabilities because all they do is compare it to the Xbox 360. But, like most people will say, give sony some time......so far, i think they are spot on with their online. It's understandable they didnt include a lot of small features, they didnt want to release something they know might not work, so by taking input from the masses on problems they are having, sony can only improve what they already have.

Pausible downloads... maybe, but your reasons are faulty. Why did you have to turn off the ps3? I can't see any valid reason.

Multi-tasking? Doubtful. The reason why games can even run is because there is no multi-tasking like in windows systems that require twice the memory and processor power to run the same games.

You need high speed internet.."Broadband connection" for PSN. Your acting like you have dail up.

I agree with you that that sony needs to add some more functionality to the PSN.

Sometimes you cant just leave things on, and have to turn them off and continue later, i cant see how is that a bad reason.

Multi tasks? yes, the 360 can do it, im sure the PS3 can do it, and multi tasks doesnt always mean playing and doing something else, i want to download something and be able to use the internet browser at the same time or listen to music, not just playing.

^^ Broadband in't always fast...

It still took me like 5-6 hours to get the GT:HD demo... and I had 100% strength!

Best Advice: Start downloading before you go to sleep, or before you go to work. When you wake up or get back, it will be finished. This is how I am doing it, and it works wonders.
