View Full Version : Can you change PSN ID?
I'd like to edit my PSN ID but I don't think it's possible? If not, can you create a new ID under a different email address and transfer the info over (stats, etc)? Also can you delete the old PSN ID from the PS3 so it doesn't appear anymore? Any ideas would be appreciated.
It's not, you gotta make a new one. You could change the e-mail on the current one, then use your old e-mail on the new one.

You can do above but what you have to do is create a new account on your ps3 and then sign up again. I must tell you though you CANNOT log in with another users PSN name on a differnt ps3 account. So say you have a guest account on your ps3, you cant log into PSN with the other accounts PSN so say its soldier one on account A, i go to account guest and try to log in as soldierone and it wont work. I tried this because i beat resistance on the wrong account lol, then i tried to copy it and it wouldnt since i already had a save on mine.

I could of sworn I seen an option to change your user ID under account settings in the same menu where you sign in at. I could be wrong though...

I have no idea I never looked into it tho im pretty happy with my nick. Altho I have been known to change my nick alot on XBL haha. I honestly dont know sorry I cant be more helpful.
Thanks Guys. This is what I did in case anybody else wants to change theres.
- Create new user on PS3 (far left in XMB menu)
- Sign-up new user for PSN with new PSN ID
- Copy saves over from old user to new
- Delete old user
You can only have one PSN ID per email address. So I had to change my email address on my old account to an address I rarely use and then I could create the new user under my main email address.
