Just wondering, why PS3 disconnect me and logged me out of PSN and internet so often?
It happened after:
turning the ps3 off
playing ps2 or ps1 games

it does not happen after playing ps3 games.

When it happened, I can't reconnect back directly, but I have to go to settings, and set it all over again. Then, it can reconnect.

Help, anybody?

You will need to alter settings on the modem.

Some games may log you out automatially? i know some dvds do. Its a pain but its just something you have to deal with.

are you on wired or wireless internet? I am on a wired cable connection 12mb down 500-700kb up, and have all the ports open on the router for the PSN.

TCP Ports: 80, 443, 5223, and 10070 - 10080
• UDP Ports: 3478, 3479, 3658, and 10070
For the PLAYSTATION®Network:
• TCP Ports: 80, 443, 5223
• UDP Ports: 3478, 3479, 3658
PLAYSTATION®3 Remote Play (via the Internet) requires:
• If the router in use supports UPnP, enable the router’s UPnP function.
• If the router does not support UPnP, you must set the router’s port forwarding to allow communications to the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system from the Internet.
• The port number that is used by remote play is TCP Port: 9293

Maybe this will help? But if your disconnecting it could just be the wireless strength is fading in and out or your far from wireless router? Log into the router and try to change the wireless channnel from whatever it is to something else like 3 or 7 if you can. Good Luck

Yea, I believe during DVD's, Blu-Rays, PS1 and PS2 games you are kicked off the PSN. It also sounds like he's saying he doesn't know why he gets logged off when he turns the PS3 off... so I might be misunderstanding him about what he's really meaning.
