is it possible to create a username name for the PSN and have it registered in europe but then change it later to the usa?
Nope, i checked my account today because i wanted to change some stuff and i noticed that i wasnt able to change the country. Not that i wanted to change the country but i noticed that anyway.

You make a new user on your ps3 and you can make anything you want there, to switch back all you need is to go all the way to the left on the xbm and change to your old user, its just like windows xp.
and why are you still awake its 1 am, why am i still awake, i got exams tomarrow at 6 am.
no.... he means the PSN ID not the PS3 user name.

Why would you need to change the ID anyways? The games are region free, changing the ID won`t effect anything
im just trying to find a backdoor to save my oinline id before its taken

different content for each region. I found that Japanese PSN has the best content at least for me

1 what does the japanese content have that the USA doesn't?

I don't have USA account, but I have HK, UK, and Japan account.
The UK can't be used yet, because it's not released in the region yet.
For comparison:
Japan has PS2 System Data to play PS2 games that requires hard disk
Hong Kong does not get it.
Yes, you can have Japanese ID with American PS3. Just select the country as Japan, then make up the address.
So you can have as many PSN ID as you want? Just wondering, I have North America and HK now.

with the hong kong 1 you can buy tekken dark resurection the full game there other downloads wat you can get which aint on the american store ;) i jus need set up hong kong account

i already got ps3 so i singed up 4 american id and its jaferris88 add me
I tried to add money to my wallet on HK store. Tried everything I read in this forum (use my American CC billing address with HK city), didn't work. Anybody actually done it and successfully bought Tekken 5 DR?

there is a way, google "download tekken 5 dark ressurection"
in one of them I read that you have to make HK account, then buy ps point (?), but it should be less than $50 or otherwise, it will check your address and confirm it.
So, you have to do $40 x 2, then you'll be able to buy it using the point
PS, i haven't done it. I just used up both my credit card limit for windows vista

Agreed, just make seperate accounts for each country, and log out/in to which ever one you want to use as much as you want, I have US,HK & Japan, probably do the other ones this weekend!

I don't know anything about Europe addresses
Thanks for the reply, I have absolutely no clue about US addresses just as you don't know about Eropean addresses.
I was wondering about that also as my PS3 is from HK & i registered it in NZ where i live. I managed to download some games but i keep on getting error messages that the game is not supported. So how would i create another ID to use in another country? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
