So what the hell won't a triple layer HD DVD do the business, sony comes with they new format and people go like stupid sheeps after it. Hey don't forget sony is japan, where the f*ck is hollywood? Anyway whatever, let japan rule your @sses.

This was a reply for the coverage of Universal not announcing any new HD-DVD films this year at CES. Poor guy I didn't have the heart to tell him that HD-DVD is backed by Toshiba.

I'm almost ashamed to be an American when I see comments like that... almost. Then I remember that I don't plan to marry my sister, spell that poorly, or have no idea what I'm talking about. I just wish people like him would stop making it so obvious that they're American... just adds to our already resounding international reputation.

If you won't marry her I will if she's hot and legal :p.

But that is just a horrible post. It seems like the poster is a 12 years old HD-DVD fanboy. Whatever forum you took this from I strongly suggest changing, avsforums for the win. It may be a little hard to navigate, but those guys know what they are talking about. No swearing in every line, and spelling that makes sense.

That idiotic rant makes me wonder if patriotism, or at least anti-Japanese hostility, is the cause of many of Sony's problems. Granted he's obviously an idiot but even sane, intelligent people can be prejudiced. It makes me wonder....

Come on, but we gotta love stupid people. They give us ammo to tell our children "this is what happens if you don't stay in school."

Heh... no kidding. I think this guy needs to realize that every game system has never been made here in the US, just sold to the U.S. Its time to grow up.

I quite enjoyed that inchoherant pyschopathic fanboy ramble, but I really need someone to translate the entire thing for me....

"Hey don't forget sony is japan, where the f*ck is hollywood?"

Teh what now??

Is it un-Patriotic to buy foreign products? If so I think I'll go live under a rock and starve myself to death.

Actually, not that these are viable systems today, but some of the original Atari CVS (later 2600), Colecovision, and Odyssey systems were made in the US. Of course, that was over 20 years ago. Since then, it just hasn't been cost-effective to assemble the systems in the U.S.

I'm still not sure whether to laugh at the guy or try to pretend he's from some other country. Maybe I'll do both.

so wait, (slightly off topic, but not really,) Is this a sign that Universal is sitting back and rethinking their option of releasing on blu-ray (pure speculation here)
Could this be a sign of the end of hd-dvd? (not quite i think but who knows?)
