Yes it is. Right under the "availability" line and above the "download bonus" line it says "Format: Blu-Ray". I heard a lot of stuff is gonna be cut out of the DVD due to law suits against the guy who made the movie. That sucks!

I hope the Blu-Ray version comes out in-store on the same day the DVD is released. The quality of Borat may not be that great, but what a better way to support Blu-Ray + landing one of the funniest movies of 2006 in your collection.
i hope they dont cut anything. those people are just mad because the world got to see how they really are.
I have some friends in Russia and they said that this movie was banned in several countries around that region. They said that it was because it showed an unrealistic way of life and made fun of people from that region. I have never been there, but I will believe my friends before I take something from a comedian as fact! Having said that...
I watched this movie at the theater and it was funny as hell. I was waiting for it on DVD, but now that I found out that it is coming to Blu-Ray, I'll get the Blu-Ray version instead. I really hope that they don't cut anything from that movie. On the contrary, I want them to add extras and stuff that they couldn't show on theaters. Well... now that I think about it, they cuould cut out the part where Borat and his friend (I don't remember his name) were fighting naked! :shock: I don't take this movie seriously, it's just a comedy. I don't make fun of the ex-USSR region. I just like the movie because it is very funny as many others. 8)

The nude wrestling part was a bit too much for me. Lots of others would agree. But for the most part, I think Borat wasn't trying to be that funny - I think he was trying to ask questions that called for strange responses (some amusing, some offensive). A funny part to one guy may be not-so-funny to the next.

While Borat is a great movie I found that it is one of those sad movies that is ONLY funny the first time and actually gets less funny the more times you watch it, you know what I am talking about if the more times you watch a movie the less it actually makes the FIRST time you saw the funny, this is one of those movies, don't BUY it.. .. . .. ..

People are trying to debate with me Im just responding to the ones who respond to me calling dude gay. My father watched with me and while I was getting something to eat he said "this dude got some sugar in him he is gay look". I laughed just because my fathers response and how he was looking as he watch (like what the hell they doing) type look. Far as jackass goes, if they have body part touching and have no problem with that while naked then yes, see when I say "THERE IS A CERTIN LINE YOU DONT CROSS" I mean things like gropping, kissing, grinding(body parts touching). Well im stuck in my own generation I guess, as times goes on people explore the world and take bigger risk. As people some of us can find things shocking, offensive, things that in a movie that is suppose to be funny may not sit well with others.
It was a proven fact at one point comedian Eddie Murphy was not gay, because on paper he was married with kids, which dont fit a gay mans profile. But now a days that means nothing, at one point guys question rather he was gay or not because he wore very tight jeans and speedos. I remember thinking that was a dumb reason, but not guys from a different generation where you didnt wear things like that.
Years later his wife found out the truth and divorced him when she found him slipping away at night to spend time with ex singer Johnny Gill. Who was staying in their guess house, not only that a few year before Eddie got caught with a transvestdite. Which he said he was trying to help get off the streets. Now I am not trying to sell or convince you guys Borat is gay, but there comes a time in a mans book where you can cross the line. So the hotel scene was one of them to me, because I feel a straight man even in a movie would think this is a no no.
A good example would be actor Will Smith who played a gay character in a movie and when he was asked that he kiss the dude on the mouth, Will had a problem with that. Reason? Because Will said "I know my character is gay but im still a straight man", so they had to shoot that scene at a angle to make it appear they was kissing. So in other words what you may find ok because its just a movie others may not see it that way.
Yeah its funny to be debating rather Borat is gay or not, but it beats the same old flame wars over which gaming system is better. Also about the homo-phobe comment, I am not one, when i was a barber i use to cut a gay dudes hair. I mean he use to wear tight jeans and high heels, many people laughed and picked, but dude never disrespected me and said any funny things out the way to me. One day he got jumped and I came and stopped everything and helped him to his feet. So he ends up in Eddie's guess house, where Eddie's wife said eddie would spend countless hours in the guess house with him. She would ask him where he is going and who he was spending all his time with, even though she knew. Eddie would say dont question me I am the bread winner. So she got tired of this and knew something was going on and divorce him. Sorry but the warning signs are there, you dont always have to see proof to know the truth.
Just like a man who gets in the face of a woman when they argue, next time he grabs her wrist. Those are warning signs that most likely he is violent, if she choose to ignore them, then bam she gets hit sooner or later.
A child who use to have a great respectful personality and make good grades in school, all of a sudden his personailty has changed. Has bad grades, dresses different and keeps to himself. These are waring signs if you choose to over look them, then bam your kid shoots up the school. Or bam your kid is dead due to gang violence.
So the warning signs was there with Eddie, and his wife saw enough of them to finally realize she had to go and decided not to sit around a couple more years, for the next warning signs.

LOL! I know I sound old like im 100 with this generation talk but what I mean my own time which is the 90's. Im only 30, but grew up in the 90's where things going on today did not happen in the 90's.
