I hope nintendo strategie works; but I don't know who told them that women gamers would rather buy an under powered console, much less one with a bunch of kiddie game, look how successful...

Nice find sonofsam I agree with the article Nintendo shouldn't try to compete with the big boys because it will probably loose and stop making consoles, but since there staying away from making there consoles more powerful and just creating new ways to play games Nintendo will get back on the top in the next 10 yrs

Nintendo will never die, they cater to children, and there will always be children =)

All Nintendo needs to get back into the action is produce AAA games, they need to get back more third party dev support imo.

The rev will be something i buy off a kid for low incraments of cash. The guy who i buy it from wouldn't want it anymore cause he's getting a cheaper 360 or a cheaper PS3

erm.. and how exactly are children going to play with the remote?

unless they were childrens hands that was holding he "controller" i can only see kids rejecting it.

awwee well Nintendo you gave us a good 20 years of gaming, no wonder they said that Zelda was going in a different direction... sheesh.

it's good that they think that, but it's not going to get me to buy there game system if the controller is going to like that way.

Its basically Nintendo saying "look, we cant compete with M$ or Sony in the hardware department. We obviously can't compete with them in the controller department either. And now we can't compete in the hand held department either. We are doomed!!! Look out its Godzilla!!!!"

Nintendo is really going to have to give all they got to make this idea work for everyone. I would never see my self doing all that stuff they show me.

Read the forum rules. Your post does not meet the minimum posting limit.

Anyways, I think a lot of you are being pretty simple minded about the Revolution controller. You do know what having a motion sensor type controller is a footstep to right? Well, if you don't I can only laugh when Nintendo turns the gaming world upside down on your head. Here's a toast to the doubters!

Lol more people need to have an opened mind, all people care about are looks, the PS3 controller looked like a banana, so it must suck. The Nintendo Revo controller looks like a freaky remote control hybrid, it must suck. Nobody here on these forums have every held these controllers in their hand to see if its comfortable and actually feels good.

People need to get over their phobia of change. I applaud Nintendo and Sony for tryin to be innovative and different.

As far as graphics go, I'm sure they wont be the best... at least when compared to PS3... but Nintendo, and its developers have been quoted to say it has "Beautiful" graphics... so that should be enough. XD

My guess is that the Nintendo will be 420p and the games will be absolutely huge because they will utlize decent graphics technology. Nintendo is going to do just fine. Heck, the GameCube still makes some stunning graphics. Whatever they come out with next will be sweet. In Nintendo I trust!

OMG why cant children play with that controller ???

Really why not ? If they can play with a Ps2 or Xbox controller why cant they play with that ?

Can't children hold remotes ?

Sorry unless i missed somthing what the hell do u mean
" how exactly are children going to play with the remote?"

You really think kids wont be able to play with it ?

Um...Im guessing your a child? Otherwise why would you be so offended. He actually makes a great point because children dont have thier motor skills and reflexes completely developed.

OMG no im not a child im 25; but ok so yeah if ur talking about a child as in 5/6 then maybe they'll have a hard time with it but no more so than with a PS2/Xbox pad.

Child id say goes upto the age of 15.

8-15 would have no problem at all with motor and reflexes skills. Ok im sorry if he meant he was talking about toddlers and that but i took it as him meaning children ie kids. ie people who arnt yet adults.

My point is children can use a normal controller so why on earth cant they use this one ?

At the end of the day it seems it may have less buttons which should be easier to get ur head round than having more. Second having a motion sense shouldnt stop any kids from using it. It's still eye hand cordination accept ur not using two little sticks or a dpad. But your arm/hand....

Sorry if i sounded offend but i couldnt/cant understand in anyway how it would deter children from playing and without any substance didnt find it a vaild point.

Really why would the same children that can manage to play on a PS2 or Xbox pad not be able to play with this thing ?

Im just thinking if i was a kid siting playing on my Amiga500 or Spectrum and someone walked in with a Rev controller for me to play with man i'd be over the moon. Basicly it's kinda like a light gun; and im affriad to say kids dont have any problems using them. So again why would they have any problem using the Rev magic wand ?

I wasnt actually suggesting you were a child, or was I suggsting you had a childlike mentality it was mere sarcasm used to highlight a point.

And yes he was talking about children and alot of children dont completely develop thier motorskills and hand eye coordination untill there around the Jr. High age. Obviously past the toddler age our motorskills are completely developed but are they developed enough to handle something like the revolution controller and trying to sincronize movements on a telivision. Why do you think it's so easy to beat a kid at about any video game, even if that kid has been playing that game possibly longer than you?

I think Nintendo are relying on mario.

http://streamingmovies.ign.com/cube/article/647/647378/MARIO_VIDEO_FINAL_BIG_wmvlow.wmv

i'm not going to get started on the plumber, but if we see inventive stuff in EA games, then i hoppe they ditch mario cameoing in them.

Nintendo is takeing a big risk here. with this controller. I don't think in the long run if the games are not made right for it that this well sell. I don't care if they make profit. :?
