Hey all, I know some or most of you have home theater's , and probably have a universal remote. I currently have Logitech Harmony 880, but was looking at the Logitech Harmony 1000. I was wondering what remotes you all use, and has any one ever tried the 1000? And which do you all think is the best?

I've got the Harmony 880 as well, why do you feel the need to upgrade to the 1000?

I like my Harmony, but I've got a few minor issues, I think it's because I haven't completely figured out how to work it yet. Like no matter what I do, I can't get the arrow keys on the Harmony to operate like the arrow keys on my projector.

Is there a way to custom program functions? I've tried mapping them on the website to "down arrow, left arrow, etc" and that doesn't work either.

Well, not worth it if you ask me, the 880 seems really good, the 1000 just seems to have a couple extra bells and whistles that make it better, but not enough to justify the price when you already have the 880. :-)

i agree. if u want RF support id prolly just say go with the 890. (neither of which help with the ps3 standpoint). unless you really have like 2-3 rooms with full a/v setups u really wouldnt need to upgrade.

yea , i guess the upgrade isnt neccassary. just like the touch screen :). lol. but i just set up a mini HT in my room and might get a cheap 130$ harmony, thats why i was thinking of moving the 880 upstairs and get the 1000 for the good room. but 500$ for a remote is a bit pricey

also as for custom mapping, try learn IR commands and call them what you wish/ if you want pm me and ill try and break it down a little further
