Just wanted to mention this, seems like everyone i s just bashing Universal for dragging this format war on.
Personally they are a minor factor in the format war... just think, if all the Studios that support BOTH formats just picked ONE, then Universal would be the ONLY studio on HD-DVD... which would pretty much mean the end, and eventuality, of universal switching over, lets just hope that these dual studios start choosing sides, and end this crap. (damn money mongers)

I dont want to sound like the blu-ray fanboy(that i am), but please just look at blu-ray exclusive studio support, disney, sony/columbia/screen gems, fox... we have the best studios making movies for us they arent going to go to hd-dvd because of JUST universal... theres really no reason to think that hd-dvd is going to come out on top... show me WHY HD-DVD would win over those 3 and ill retract that statement... but so far, ... i dont see it.

Univeral is dragging it on though. They are the only company exclusive to HD DVD, If Universal goes i would expect all of the multi format comapnies to move to Blu Ray as well

Universal is a genius from a marketing point of view if you think about it. They are only on hd-dvd's side to make more money, because they want to milk hd-dvd for as long as they can before they switch to Blu-Ray, and make everbody buy there movies all over again on the other format. If they switched over right now, they would make less money than if they wait for a while longer to make the switch. I would have done the same thing, those brilliant a**holes.. :-D
