I'm not sure if this will work but on some other sites I saw that when you tried to double post a mesage came up saying that you cannot do that and you must edit your last post. I wa thinking that we could do it here. Is there a way?
This would be a great feature. I hate double posts, I don't see how hard it is to just hit the edit button. This would especially be good for newbies that don't know it's that bad of a thing to do on forums.

well this would work great except i would need my sports daily post to be eximpt because its alot easier to read every new days in a separate post dont you think? i like this idea though.

I have 1 problem with this rule. You can't update a topic without double posting because just editing your post won't make the topic appear at the very top of the list of topics. So I can't update the hurricane topic because I posted last and if I edit it then no one will know because it's 6 pages behind.
I just don't think it would be good because of that.

well what i do is delete my first one after copying it and then make a new reply paste my old one and go from there, only in certain circumstances though. hope that helps with your problem.

Wow I never thought of that before, Thanks! :)
I like this idea! I'll look for a mod for it - though we can't implement it for a week or so as we're doing some backend stuff at the moment.

is there any way you can get some posts to be eximpt like my sports one and hoverbikes horricane one.

I'm sure we can work something out.

Is there a mod so we can make this happen? Because there have been a lot of double posts recently.

That's one of my gripes too. I've edited some of my posts before but the thread never moves up on the list and just ends up getting buried under other threads, locked threads, or just plain spam.

I agree, I think the post should get renewed (in some cases) if you edit the 1st post or added a new post.
I don't know how complex it would be but it sounds good.
For example, my "Official PS3Forums Title Ladder" post. If a new name comes out or something happends and i update the main post, it still is buried under everything.
It would be nice if the orange diamond would lite up agin to show it was edited.
BTW: Rebon, did Morpheus ever confront you on whether or not to sticky that post?

Just do what I did with this. If you are the last poster copy what that post said than delete it and repost it.
Yeh thats what ive done before, edit the i was going to edit, copy it all, delete my post then repost it again
But if your post was the first post...im not sure if you can delete a whole thread....
Oh no wait i think you can, i think i deleted that God Of War auction in General Chit Chat when it had finished cause it was pointless keeping it after that
Im still not sure with a double posting mod being installed though, the problems it makes is worse
What happens when someones post was deleted between your 2 posts...you effectively double posted...what would happen then..
