View Full Version : New downloadable game: Super Rub-O-Dub
Phil Harrison announced it at DICE 2007:
11:02: Turning it over to the audience for questions, the first is "What's Phil playing that isn't on a Sony platform?" He says he plays things for competitive analysis, but that the PS3 has enough for him. He mentions that he's been playing the next LocoRoco game, then he turns to a new PlayStation 3 downloadable game called Super Rub-O-Dub. It's the duck demo from E3 turned into an entire game. You play with the Sixaxis and tilt a pool of water to make a big duck move around, picking up little ducks and moving them to an exit. It will be out in the next few weeks.

Thats great... i really wanted some sort of duck demo/game to show off sixaxis to people.
I remember ages ago seeing that lil duck in action fron an E3 viddy. I have to admit, that lil ducky made me go wow, you can seriously do that?? lol. Tho now i have a wii it does the same thing with a pointer .... doesn't mean i don't want a PS3 anymore, Bring it on Philly baby.

I love tilting the controller, so this'll probably be mine on March Launch. If it costs about 5$, that is.

if its like lemmings and sudoku, it may be only 3 bucks. after all its proabably just a simple tech demo made into a game. this and flow will be two early showcases for the sixasis.

Phil said in a few weeks, early March would be my guess.
I'm gonna love this game, hopefully as much as I do Lemmings...damn I can't get enough of that game....lol.

I'm not even gonna lie. Ever since they showed that Duck demo at E3'05, I wanted to play it. I never thought I'd be happy to play a duck game but I'm definitely excited about this one. :D

I could easily see myself getting sucked into that game childhood memories of the tub and a rubber ducky good times good times. Hope it comes out soon PS3 hasn't seen much action lately.

Well, according to the official news regarding the European launch, "Super Rub'a'Dub" will available at launch, so release will be soon. Looks like a unique title. Glad to see the love of ducks finally a game...

Quick question... whys it downgraded from the E305 version?
This game could easily get very popular...bring ont the multi-player duck fest...I would love if Sony found away to emulate these PSN games on the PSP....it would really push come life back into the handheld.

That was just a tech demo. While the ducks were more detailed, they weren't doing anything but sitting there. THis will be a fully interactive game plus you gotta save something for the sequel, I guess. ;)

Me too, i'm still hoping they keep that duck in the eye of judgement game
this game looks very addicting, plus its a game my girlfriend can play with me
this looks like a "im drunk lets play with a rubber ducky" kinda game...I dunno how long I can actually be entertained by this. Much like how i feel about flow
