Because CLC (chimera lords clan) was originally developed to be the offical ps3forums clan, we have decided that we need to change the name to something more appropriate for all ps3 games.
Case in point: Chimera Lords Clan works fine for Resistance, but in future games it will not make sense.
This thread is for every member of CLC to post possible clan names that they think will suit our group for all ps3 games that we participate on collectively.
When proposing a name, consider our group's demeaner, attitude, and the focus.
Try to make your posts are legible as possible so narrowing down the selections will be easier.
ex:
"personal text"
Chimera Lords Clan
Big d***s clan (or however drew so elequently put it)
Bloodline
etc.
P.S. I can't wait to see some of the suggestions.

ok, what I think will work is if while you are giving your ideas, also state which names from other posts you like. For instance I will give a couple ideas of mine, and then give some votes of names I liked from above. Using this I will make an updated list every day or two in the original post of the names most members seem to like.

Back when I used to play Q3 (Quake 3) and RA3 (Rocket Arena 3), I was in a clan called [SMF] - Suave Mother ****ers and I think this would be a good name. I don't think they are around anymore as well.

My understanding is that CLC was the clan for Resistance, there was another clan for Warhawk, and Unholy Saints was the clan for everything else. Well those of us that play regularly with CLC would like to stay together and grow the clan across different games. So instead of having different clans with different names in different games, we'd have one clan, in multiple games, with one name. This has many benefits including not being confusing and building name recognition of the clan.

Anyway, Like I said last night, it would be really sweet if we kept the [CLC] tag with a different meaning. Also, try to condense this list to your favorites guys, and I will put up a poll (a public one to make sure no non-clanners are voting). I see you guys are liking the whole "bloodline" thing that akira thought of, and Unholy Saints wasn't too terribly bad if all else fails. I'm not sure if Booze Crew (as a few of you guys have so affectionately named yourselves when chatting on the mics) would be a good name for the entire clan, because some of us *ahem* still cannot drink, and it might turn off new younger members.

Actually I thought no one really was digging the name Unholy Saints. It sounds kind of generic to me at least. In fact on our official forums there was a poll taken to see who wanted to change the name, and like only 20% of the votes actually wanted to keep it. Everyone else said they didn't like it or that they would keep it only until something better came along. Getiing back to the topic of the naming now, I want to make this as complicated as possible, haha. Razor, right now we're just throwing out names and I figured that in a day or two once all the submissions are in, we will narrow it down to the ones we really like by asking everyone from the clan to choose just the 3 they liked most. Then we would hold a poll with each name on there that people liked. We narrow it down to the top 5 and hold another poll then. The reason to do that is because I guarente a bunch of people are gonna vote for a submission that will only get one vote with that many entries on there and with only 20 or so active members in the clan. We also want to have a wide enough range of names to really see what each of use wants. When we narrow it down to top 5 everyone will have to choose from the most liked entries. Anyway, it's not too hard to understand. I just don't want to rush the naming process. We have time, it's not like we're on a deadline. We should wait and see what people like. After all, the thread has only been up a day. So keep the names coming and maybe tomorrow night or the day after we will ask everyone to narrow it down to their top 3 favorites.
There are so many names thrown out there, it's gonna be hard as hell to get this into an organized list for voting.
Yo, I liked the one with CLC that was like "cabal clan" or whatever, cause the meaning was very well on track. Also the one that sounded almost like it was in latin. I'm big into getting the meaning right.

Just one little detail on that name. I used to play SOCOM II and SOCOM 3 so clans were everything. I was in a clan called Mob Squad Elite (for both games.....we transfered over after S3 came out) and i really liked it (Not to brag but we were really good). So if any u guys get SOCOM 4 i think we would be copyrighting the clan name so we would have to make another name. But i love the name and we can use it for basically any other game.

The other one [GAY] Guys Are Yummy is a real clan their in the top 20 on gamebattles, i played a guy from their clan Rainbow_Warrior and he was good.
Also its good you guys are getting a new name, tell you the truth the only reason i picked Hells Soldiers over you guys is because they had a better name.

Ya, just look at gamebattles the clans that arnt there wont care if someone takes their name. The clans that do care can have your clan be disassembled.
