the name of the room was anz1_major_*****
kept trying to change it but didn't work. we had several people in. phl3m was in it as well. somehow i think they know that you could have someone else make a room under your name. SONY has its eyes and ears everywhere. creepy. :p

i'm getting rainbow 6 sometime this weekend. looking forward to our co-op match. i'm also getting a headset. the Major's headset looks sexy. i want that. let me know if it works well.

just to bump the page, i got rainbow six vegas. haven't had a chance to fully play it yet. gave it a test run during lunch break. after playing R:FoM for about 4 months, i must say this game is damn slow!!!!! but there's a lot more strategy involved.

now i need to get a working headset.

Checked out online for RB6, and it's weird. I found myself to be playing and what sounded like Americans/Canadians. It was a tad laggy (bout 2 second delay) but just playable.

Not sure how to make a clan though.

I like the SP so far. I'm real into my tactical shooters :)

guys, weekend is here and i'm pretty sure most of us are still on holiday so what about organising a practice match this saturday say for about 1 hour? and then after that why not we try and play r6:v co-op? anybody keen to do it? if no one steps up, i'll make one.

Not my kind of game, I just don't like soulless arcade games without structure. That graphics ore superb though, but seeing as Oblivion arrived today....come on, which one would you choose.

Not to mention now being engaged and having to plan for a wedding in 3 months I can't see myself being online much in the coming months. I will however make sure I get warhawk and be online at least once a week so I can build underworld up and kick out the non-active members.

Cheers man, although there are no real clan options technically, but you can have tags so it's kind of an informal clan. But I will run it if you won't be getting it, Admartian and the Id both have it I think so we can start training there and if we meet anyone whilst then we can get bigger things going. Headsets will eventually be necessary so you guys should get some soon, Warhawk comes with one so you could probably wait for that.

They definitely will, the large number of members in underworld on R:FOM without a headset is one of the reasons the hardcore members of the clan either left the clan or just didn't bother playing it online much. In future, no headset = no invite to clan. It may be a bit harsh, but it makes it too hard to run a clan and it's no where near as much fun without comms. Allowances will be made for those who's comms break.

may broadband is to slow for rb6v i can play in 4 player matches but any more and it seriously lags and then signs out. R:FOM is fine tho with no lag.

Just to state again if anyone plans on getting Warhawk on Blu-Ray then you get a headset with it so if you don't have a headset then wait for that, it's a good one apparently.

I got my Motorolla H700 (I think that's the model, don't have it with me now) headset yesterday! :D

I hope RB6v is less laggy. Because last time I played, I was on what I think was an American/Canadian server (going by the accents and "slang"). So hopefully the more local servers are less laggy. Other wise it's near un-playable for me and my 256k "broadband" connection.

I will be getting WARHAWK. The bundled headset will be a bonus. :)

BTW, I don't know my UNI timetable fully yet. So I'll get back to you when I'll be available for clan games. I thik same goes for Id.

Oh, and I left my PS3 on yesterday. Would it be fine by the time I get back to it tomorrow night?

Also, I think the WORLDWIDE servers for RFOM should be up. And I think I got kicked from the clan and/or my stats reset. :(

You haven't been kicked from the clan, that would require me getting online - LOL. It's end of financial year and I'm getting married in October, so I don't have much time to play my PS3 at the moment. I will make time though when warhawk comes out.

Lol Must be from the update then. It seems to have deleted my buddy list also as well as my stats! Wonder if this has happened to others.

Anyway just soldiered through first week of school, god was that a chore. First 2 weeks are just lame explanation on the course you have chose just in case you want to change which generally sucks a-hole but I'm sort of glad they did because I change out of SOSE for a film class which is much more my area. We get to film amature movies, what more could I want in a class?

****, this got pushed back a bit. My Broadband is still bloody capped but will be back next week sometime.
Just started playing FF:XII again, as I only clocked about 35 hours on it and lost interest after getting a PS3 so I have to redo the entire game. Just wish I had a PAL version of the game, the jaggies on the PS2 are pretty annoying at the moment. Oh well, great game though.

First of all I would like to thank everyone in Underworld for their support.

So much has changed in my life since I first decided to create underworld that I can not commit to hosting the clan on other games. So it is with much regret that I must say that unless someone else steps up to the plate and run Underworld in future (except for R:FOM as I can't appoint a new leader :cry: and it's almost dead anyway) Underworld will be no more.

If someone does take over, please learn from my mistake and insist on everyone having a headset as that is the major reason why Underworld failed on R:FOM. Had we all had headsets we could have worked better as a team and had a good time chatting and playing.

I am not disappearing, just reducing the amount of time I spend playing games (compared to before I got engaged). I still intend on getting warhawk and Socom (maybe) this year.

PS - The HAWKS will be AFL premiers for 2007.

I will go out on a limb and pick up where you left off THF if that's ok with you. I mean I've been pretty much since it started and don't want to see it die out. While it lasted, Underworld was a great clan, remembered not for its matches but for the great fun we had messing around on these forums.
Seriously, this was one of the better clans that I've been apart of as there was a sense of belonging, to me, here as it wasn't too big and everyone in it wasn't an *********.
The only thing that I forsee to be a problem, for me as the leader, is that I'm a 'capper' as in I generally cap my broadband a few weeks in and end up with dial-up for the rest of the month, to my dad's regular annoyance. And another thing is I'm soon to be in VCE, ie. no more slacking off on my behalf and actually time to be serious about school. So that could be a problem in the long term. But in the immediate future it will be fine, for now.
So if no-one else will step up, then I will. But if someone else does, preferably and adult, then that would be a better bet. So if Admartian or Id feel they want to then I would oblige to give them the spot instead.

Thanks for making me part of my first real clan - never was a pc gamer. :)

But yeah, Uni will restrict some of the time I play, but I should be alright. I back the Major as leader too, and I hope Phaeo (id) stays also. Hope we can recruit new ones, and have maybe scheduled 'clan time' (arranged to suit most, and have another one for the batch that can't make it to the other one).

Will definitely be getting Warhawk (big BF2 fan - spent so much money on net cafes getting to the Sergeant levels). So yeah. Good luck to ya THF and see ya round when Warhawk, LBP (look to see what all your levels are going to be like ;)), MGO, and of course, Killzone2. :)

P.s - Major, just post here whenever there's clan stuff. It's too hard on PSN otherwise.

Sure thing, but we need to establish stricter rules and need some regularity and routine for this clan to more than what it was before.
- Headsets are a must
- Must make clan practice/matches every week (or what ever time is established) and unless you tell us you can't make it before hand then a suspension is made and if another instance occurs then your outta here. No time for no-shows, not this time.
- Use this thread (or possibly a new one) as the clan Hub.
- Respect Elders, ie. Me, Admartian, Id, THF, Aussie Fabs (Just put down the people who are more likely to show up.)
- Report back to the Hub thread at least once a week, just to know what's up and if your still in etc.

That will do for now, lol. Anyway I will be able to run the Warhawk sect of the clan at the very least. I think it would be best if we stuck Online Only games like Warhawk, SOCOM, UT3 and Metal Gear Online. But I'm sure we could branch out to games with robust online features ie. Haze, Resistance etc. and not bother with games that have online as an afterthought like The Darkness.
Anyway hope Id checks back to see what's happening and to finalize this but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind, unless he wants to himself which I'm fine with, honestly.

Warhawk is out in a week and a bit in America, I think we got boned again much to my dismay and its getting released sometime in September over here. Either way I'm importing it, get it quicker and cheaper, so I will have it soon.
That's when we will kick off the new/revised clan and we will go from there. So if you want to get in soon, you should probably import.

It is, I checked. The servers are worldwide so it'll be fine, can't wait, two weeks to go! Another option is to buy it off the PSN store, which will be on both store on the 28th but if you've got an American account then you can get it cheaper anyway.

Ok guys, I've got warhawk, who else has it? great game, but some games you die within 5 seconds of spawning which is not fun. a bit dissappointed haven't been able to play with any of my mates yet. Downloading not a problem for me as I'm the only user of my PS3 and I only have the one so I don't have to worry about which handle to download it on etc. Hurry up and get online guys.
