Concerning watashi's thread
I got this warning in my e-mail from Capcom about the demo disc problem. Don't play this disc with your memory card in your PS2!!
Capcom received the following warning from Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. today.
CONSUMER ALERT: HOLIDAY 2004 DEMO DISC GLITCH
If you have received a copy of the Holiday 2004 Demo Disc including the playable Viewtiful Joe 2 - please take note.
It has just been brought to our attention that there is a glitch in this demo which will erase all of your saved files from your Memory Card(s). If you have not yet played the Viewtiful Joe 2 demo, please remove your Memory Card(s) from your PlayStation(R) 2 computer entertainment system before you load the Holiday 2004 Demo Disc.
Sony Computer Entertainment America would like to express our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
And there you go...
Thats ridiculous! Capcom have screwed up big this time. They are gonna have a load of peeved gamers emailing them, and rightly so. :?

Yeah...this isn't just a "little" glitch...deleting all saved information off of your memory cards is a BIG deal. That's HOURS and HOURS of game-time. I'm glad I didn't pick up this demo disc...it's in the stores everywhere. I hope a lot of people get this warning in the stores...

It means absolutely nothing other than there was a glitch in this particular demo disc. I'm sure they'll be more careful the next time around.

Yep, so just remember to take your memory card out before you play and you should be able to enjoy the demo just fine.

You can get them at stores...and from magazines. Sometimes you'll get them for free by mail...but that's a rarity for me.

you shouldn't never play demos... just wait for the full game...
you never know if it could even mess you ps up a little too
Demos allow a person a chance to try out a game before buying it..kind of taking it for a test drive. That was one demo out of hundereds...it's no big deal.
There are several games I would never of gotten involved with had it not been for a Demo or Trial period.
Ragnorak Online comes to mind.
I just received my Holiday Demo in the male today.
Is that some kind of dodgy magazine? ;)

Square Enix responds to Final Fantasy XI sequel reports
IGN earlier reported that Japan's Nikkei Net news service ran a story stating that a next-gen Final Fantasy XI sequel was in the works. However, today, Square Enix has officially denied these claims, saying that although an MMORPG was being developed, it is a completely unrelated to Final Fantasy XI.
Square Enix did not relveal any information on the mystery game, but said that "details and compatible systems will be revealed as soon as possible".
It is unclear whether it was a mistranslation on IGN's part or a misreport by Nikkei Net.
