We all know no one wants to use their credit cards for online gaming purchases so I figured this would help

Seems like a good option for people...not gonna really read into it to deep since I have no problem purchasing online. Do wish Sony would release some info on the PSN card.

Possibly GDC? One would think they would be announcing something soon...

thats cool... however those cards are harder to find up here in Canada. but i didtn know you can get them online?.. thats cool. i just hope at GDC they say something about the PS3 cards. if it goes on pass april and still no WORD on these cards then i'll have no choice but to get one of those cards online since i dont have a credit card.. or i might just have to apply for one for the hell of it too( i think its always a good idea to have no more then at least one credit card in handy)

Ok I have a problem.

I am in Canada, and I have a Visa. Its with my bank though, so kind of like...debit visa or w/e they call it. But still, its a Visa card, I verified both Billing and CC information, but it wont work! it says that the CC is invalid.

WTH!? how is it invalid!? I did it 3 times! and no its not a new card, I have had it for quite a while now, at least 8 - 9 months.

I've already got a card perfect for use on an online game store.

It's called a debit card.

Whoa...

Ok I admit it, I've never been on the PSN, but I assumed it was similar to other online stores I've used.

Doesn't accept debit cards...

Sony, that's embarrasing.

I have a debit bank card and it works fine on the PSN network. Your debit card has to have a Visa or Mastercard logo on it in order for it to work.

Thats all i ever use for online transactions because i dont like letting my credit go over the internet for certain reasons.

The only thing that sucks is you must put in a even amount because if it goes below 5 bucks you cant put the rest on playstation netowrk, ive tried. So it has to be in the intervuels they list which is like 5 10 20 50 100.

Thats what I said in my first post, I have a debit Visa card, and it wont work :(. WTH!? it makes no sense, and its getting on my nerves. I know the card is OK, I have used it for many transactions.

Oh well, screw it

Are you sure you are entering the card information correctly? Call your bank and make sure you address and phone number match what is on your bank records.

Do you live in a house or an apartment? I live in an apartment and when I put my apartment number as the 2nd address line when ordering my order did not go through. I removed my apartment number and it worked.

Anyone who has this problem is dealing with an address mismatch usually.

You need to call your bank and ask them exactly how the address appears on their end. Even a slight difference will invalidate the card. Talk to your bank.
