They are the highest scoring team in the league, which makes them the best. Yes their D is top 5-7 scroll up and look at the stats also keep in mind they lead the league in takeaways.

Highest scoring team in the league makes them the best? What kind of logic is that, take this from a true Pats fan. Your offense don't mean jack if you play someone with a great defense. And yes I am referring to the Giants/Pats superbowl. Because New England destroyed everyone with points, but when it came down to it, they lost against the best defense.

KingJordan

show a team with a better defensive line...

If the boys in the middle were even barely average, I'd take you up on that challenge brah. They've been playing better since getting their teeth kicked in by Ronnie Brown tho.

Points > Yards.

Points per game is a TEAM stat - TEAM: as in offense+defense+special teams. When you're looking at offensive and defensive rankings SEPARATELY you have to go with yards per game.

Summary of the last few pages

1) Don't bark up SoDev's tree.
2) illbashu is the nfl thread's very own Trent Dilfer, the analyst not the qb.
3) when wanting to prop up your own player (especially qb) downplay their surrounding players, neverminding if one of their favorite targets is a 4 time pro bowler. Or you can site the other's lack of playoff success.

This is a ridiculous statement, Saints Offence is far more powerful then the giants. Who has the highest scoring offence in the NFL? (Saints) missed that one huh?? he meant powerful as in a power running game...as opposed to the finesse (speed) game the Saints run....

BTW go look at the 4 teams that the Saints beat and the 5 teams the Giants beat. strength of schedule all goes out the window on Sunday...

That one flew over your head bro. tell me about it

You do release that was due to the fact that they were pretty much playing without a D up till this year right?talk to your general manager about that....cuz Eli doesn't care while he is polishing his trophy...

Highest scoring team + Top 10 D = Ez win.

Saints have best offence in the NFL and top 10 D, there is no way they are going to lose.

so...you're so obsessed with numbers so lets run down the list....

well...other than actual points per game it seems the Giants have a better offense...funny...and Eli sat out most of the game against the Raaaiiiidassss....

Now lets move on to defense...

well now...looks like other than rushing yards the Giants again have the better unit...

so lets revisit your quotes...

Highest scoring team + Top 10 D = Ez win.

Saints have best offence in the NFL and top 10 D, there is no way they are going to lose.

you want to re-think those???...because the Giants actually have better numbers on both offense AND defense...so i guess your quotes could work for the giants...

Just watch when you guys get raped by the Saints.
when all else fails resort to straight trash talk...i LIKE it...

Eli won the superbowl with an amazing d and Burress. right because Brady, Montana, or Bradshaw never had great defenses and good receivers right??

Brees threw for over 5000 yards last year and 37 TDs (going off memory might be off by a bit) right and Eli played for a team that rushed for how many yards?? when your running game is that good it takes away from your chances to throw the ball i would think no??

if their D was anywhere close to the NYG D that eli won the superbowl with they would of won multiple superbowls by know

BAHAHA!! multiple superbowls!?

and found their run game (2ed in the league in rushing).right a whole 6 yards more than the G-Men per game lol

So ya'll come off 8-8 and beat Stafford, Kolb, Edwards, and Sanchez and you think that D is for real? You think the saints can take down the Giants of NY talking all that ish?! Giants are 18-3 over their last 21 road games and you want to question who the Giants played so far this year? What has Brees EVER done except run it up on bad teams and be a fantasy god. 55-51 career mark, 1-2 career playoff mark.

You basically played against 3 rookies and a turd. We'll see how that defense holds up come Sunday.

Why are you stuck on whose easy schedule was easier. The Giants have rep, unlike the saints who win 4 games, played solid D against 3 rooks and a turd and got their chest all puffed out talking about who had a harder 4 couple games.

Still posting those silly stats... I'm just going to post this once a page until it sinks in.

All of the Giants wins are to horrible teams. Saints faced the 3ed best D in the league (Jets) and the Eagles.

You shouldn't start Smith and Bradshaw when they're playing your team. I usually play Colston in my option slot but he's riding the bench this week, you won't see me cheering for someone to score against the Giants :D

I CAN'T decide what to do with my RB/WR option slot this week, what do you think between these guys: Colston, Jacobs, Moreno, Kevin Smith (DET). HURRY UP. Right now I've got Moreno in there because I don't want to start Colston against my team and I hate the way Jacobs has been running the ball this year.

Brady you're sick, 6 touchdowns, come on man.

I know you want to be the best, and I know there are a lot of people who misjudge you, but it's unsportsman-like conduct!

You should at least have tied the NFL record for most touchdowns in a quarter, and not broke it like like the other famed QB records you have under your belt.

I'm just hoping Jets lose today. If they do it will be a great day for Football.

The Giants are the more complete team.

they can run, pass, and stop the run, pass.

NO has a high powered offense... I am not sure their D is tough enough to get off the field and let Brees do his thing.

Can't score if your not on the field.
Jacobs and Bradshaw will probably get 40 carries between them

After the season the Titans had last year I don't think Fisher will be on the hot seat. I do think they need another QB and some WR. The Titans have been plagued all season by dropped passes.

No one's better than Rivers when bodies are around him!

...I guess canada has a different definition of the term "burned"

I could have sworn Champ made the open field tackle... maybe giving up an extra yard...

I wouldn't call that a burn at all. He may have gotten juked, but Champ did in fact make the tackle. Either way, sick moves by Antonio Gates

If you make the tackle then that means you didn't get burned.

WOW what a play by Sproles. Can't say this game isn't entertaining.

Forest green at best, and that's being nice.

Marshall is a tank. Does he ever get taken down at the point of catch?
