View Full Version : Official "Old Man Clan" forming up! Get in here old man
I have started the Official "Old Man Clan" today! Thats right but this will not be any old clan it will be special :) Things are in the works right now.
Requirements to join is pretty simple.
#1. You must be over 25 years old to join.
#2. You have to be able to play games without screaming Im l33t one eat me Over and over again! In other words you can not be an annoying prick.
#3. Console choice is not a concern as we welcome Both the 360, PS3, and Wii gamers into the club.

Dorfdad is the handle on both systems.
An official forum will be going up shortly for the members to discuss many things in the future.
Ok guys I have a site setup for the clan right now. http://www.gentendo.com temporary link go sign-up I will be updating the site over the weekend.. At least it's a starting point.

20 isnt considered an old gamer snip, though if you were married (hence the old) you might make it under the pity clause!

All you are doing is proving your blindness. Saying anyone under 25 is a danger to society, or is going to be a screaming maniac is wrong, and you miss out on a lot of really nice, young people. There are JUST as many retards who are OVER 25...
Surely a better requirement would be 'BEING MATURE', as opposed to. Being old?

This sounds great. 33 for me. I hope you like to play at night though as that is the only time usually left after the family falls asleep. Love it though!

the thing is age has nothing to do with maturity.
i joined a clan back in 96, and i'm still in it. I joined the clan with a few buddies to compete in death matches. we were in our thirties at the time, except for the clan founder, and leader who was 14 at the time. at 14 he was more mature than a lot of people in thier 20's. so what i'm getting at is you shouldn't have a age limit.
i'm now 42 :cool:

Resistance can be frustrating at times. Capture the flag is a blast though. Maybe we can all get our clan together for some CTF matches. There are a few clans I would like to take some shots at.

I just checked out the site, and I notice quite a big xbox population there, even the past few polls conducted are more focused on xbox related stuff, I guess I will pass and stick around here...

It's not so much the 14 year olds you have to worry about, more like the 8-10 year olds. I once played socom2 againts a 7 year old girl. Needless to say I left that room very quickly.

I agree with what you stated, and have since changed my view on age for this clan as well as the name.
Also all individuals who are interested in joining a group of like minded gamers please visit the link above and if you have before please check back as I had to reinstall a new forum as the old one was not capable of doing what we needed....

Well this is a good idea i am 24 but don't wanna join a clan i am not that into online, i play once in a while but not to often. but to all the guys saying it is not age but maturity sure your right but that is not the point some older guys just prefer to chat and game with people closer in there age group that have been gaming since the 80's it is more about having a common interest plus lots of us older guys have families and such so it is one more thing in common some of the older guys might not be any more mature then a 12 year old but they might act older around older people.
i don't consider my self old but i do have a family so i feel older then i want (lol)
but yeah i think it is cool to get all the oldtimers together in one place.
if it was me doing this i would have said this to not upset the younger people.. "it is not about excluding the younger players but gathering all the older guys(gals) into one place."
good luck with the clan i may join after i get a few more games or get more time for online.

Haha, I saw this old man clan getting together. I would certainly qualify for it but I'm kind of fond of the knuckleheads I play with now.
