Okay, I'm really angry that the XBOX360 is always getting demos and the PlayStation 3 hasn't seen one in a while. We so far should of gotten:
NBA Street Homecourt Demo
Def Jam: Icon Demo
Armored Core 4 Demo
Lair Demo (hopefully soon)
And many more to go on. How come we are not getting anything. I don't like complaining, but seriously, give me my downloads.

Well maybe 360 is getting demos because its been out over a year and is getting games on a regular basis.
When PS3 reaches that point we will get tons of demos so all you gotta do is wait.

The system is brand new, wait for a while. The 360 had nothing on the marketplace and games for a long time. Thats what happens when you are an early adopter of a console.

Where are your demo's? I don't know where your demo's are. But I find it hard to believe that you produce games. You know cuz you're fourteen and all.

we all want more demos but we all no that its a NEW CONSOL your going to have to wait a bit the time will come when the ps3 will have a lot of demos just hold on a bit.

I have had my 360 sense 1/20/06 and I dont ever remember a shortage in demo's. The 360 is allways releasing new demo's every month. So what gives sony!!!
People that have had their ps3 since launch have every right to be really pissed. They've had enough time to get their stuff together and at the very least release demos since they can't release games on time.

I've had my PS3 for 3 weeks and I think it's about time to have more stuff on the PSN. Home and Little Big Planet sound great but Fall is 6 months from now. It shouldn't take a year from launch date to have a decent amount of content.

That's not what I am saying at all. But there are games that are out that we didn't get any demos too. There are games coming out shortly that we don't have demos too. The console has been out since November. I'm not saying it should be packed full of demos, but one demo a month is not enough IMO, mostly when that demo that does come out is 3 months old. We get more movie trailers then we do anything else. And don't anybody hand me "well its free" bull crap.

It did not take that long. It was a matter of a month (give or take) before some really good demos started. I am not saying PSN has none, there are some great demos there, but if Sony is going to lure people away they need to do better with their PSN. And they can't wait for "Home" to come out.

You do know that XboxLive started in '02/'03 right? I don't remember much being avaliable back then.
But I wouldn't expect much before we see Home. In fact I wouldn't expect any 3rd party support until then, no reason for them to work to put things on the PSN when they'll have to work to change things for Home.
The update will be out and demos before Europe Launch. You would think they'd have to as the servers would be bunged up from everyone trying to download at the same time. Plus they'll want to make a big splash with the launch, so I'm sure there will be a few new demos.

This wouldn't be such a pain in the tuchas if Sony hadn't cancelled the Official playstation magazine because they said that it isn't needed any longer because they will be distributing demos online.
Hell I used to get 4-8 new demos with each new magazine, and now I'm not getting anything because they cancelled the dang magazine, and then decided to not release any demos since then. The last magazine released at the first of December...that's been four months, and we've gotten what 2...maybe 3 demos since then?

I liked the magazine demo disc idea better. At least we knew we were getting some demos every month, instead of this here's one...now wait six weeks and you might get something else.

U guys gotta understand. Sony is not focusing on demos right now. They are focusing on getting these consoles launched worldwide and also PS home. And also preparing themselves to make the PS3 cheaper for them to make. And not to mention getting these updates ready. All these things are more important than demos.
All the homes, adn price cuts, and extra consoles don't really mean much if there's no games to play.
Sony needs to buckle down and start getting the games out the gate.
I mean sure we got Motorstorm but after that...end of April - start of may until new games.
That's a little silly.
the most powerful system in the world isn't going to amount to anything if we don't have anything to play it with ;)

U gotta understand that average people do not care what Sony is focusing on. PS3 won't get cheaper any time soon, it will only get cheaper for Sony to produce. Home could be interesting, but it is in the future.
Sony is focusing too much on the future. They should be more focusing on the present.
If there were more demos, more people would be likely to buy more games right now.
I too am pretty annoyed by the lack of demos. I am sure that the first thing that people do once they buy Xbox is to download as many demos as they can, which is what I did with my PS3 and which is what I will do once I get a 360(hopefully this year). The demos sell the games. If I have never played the Killzone demo, I would never have bought or even consider buying it.

But you make it sound like Sony is four people. Not everyone in Sony that works on the PS3 focuses just on the launches. There are people (such as SOE) who do nothing for the launch, their job is the online. There is no reason why we can't be getting regular updates that isn't movie trailers or 3-4 months old demos.

This whole situtation is pretty sad, before I was saying the same thing some people are saying which is to wait. But the system has been out for almost four months, there should be a lot more content out right now and theres no excuse.
Sony needs to get their **** together and start making this online content real if they want to beat Live. I know Live has a big head start on PSN as far as time goes but Sony should have had **** ready to go before they even launched if they were serious about online.
Dont get me wrong the PS3 has a great future shaping up but thats also the problem as well, theres nothing in the present and its pissing people off.

Well, at least some people agree with me. Seriously, it's been 4 months, and we have like 10 demos, all old games, not even some new ones like Homecourt, Icon, maybe Heavenly Sword, Call of Duty 3, Armored Core 4, etc. We should even get PS2 demos because of the cancellation like God Of War II, and more.
Sony is definitely screwing up. Hopefully they'll get their junk together soon, quit delaying everything, and release stuff thats not old and stupid on the psn.
Relax. The update will be out before the end of the month. Remember the 23rd is the euro launch and their systems will have that update. You've got a week and a half before you can legitimatly start complaining. As for demos there should be something new soon and I'd suspect it happens with the next store update which is next week to release Calling All Cars.
I spoke to the DarkSector guys at GDC and I asked if there would be a demo availiable for the PS Network. They said yes probably. :D
It is just a matter of time before more demos are released. It should happen soon, i hope they have the demos before E3, if they do not I am going to be very disapointed with Sony.
You're too generous. E3 isn't until July.
As for the excuse "oh its a new sistem giv it time", these publishers can have demos ready all too easily. You know why we're only seeing Sony and Namco stuff on the Store? Namco is the only company that's willing to pay fees to Sony to have their demos available.
It's not about fees it's about alocating the bandwidth to host the demos. I'm sure Sony is doing what they can to get demos out but they still have to convince people to take part in the PSN and it requires time and disscussion which is what they hadn't done much of in the past evidenced by the whole GTA4/ Assassin's Creed exclusivity buisness.
Sony has to have talks with developers to discuss the ins and outs of getting the content shined up for the PSN and we are unable to know the extent of what that entails. so it couldmean new demos up next week or next month, the only thing we as consumers can do is wait for them.
