Hello all,

I'm buying a new desk for my computer and new tv.

142.4x100x100cm (HWD)

Do you think I'll be able to fit my PS3 in the slot above the keyboard tray? Will it have enough air to keep it cool? I'm guessing the gap is 20cm high because there are 10 CD slots.

I'm hoping of having my monitor on the gap above it and my Samsung 32" HDTV on the very top ledge (if the tv tilts).

On second thoughts... do you reckon the thing will take all the weight? A 19" monitor, 32" LCD TV, PS3, Keyboard, Desktop Speakers, Mouse, CDs, etc.

Thanks :)

Seems find to me.... Cooling really isn't the issue as it has enough air around it. Find out the maximum weight that it can hold.. and same with all the stuff that your going to put on it... see if it all adds up to what it can hold.

Just measured up 20 cm and then found out the height of the PS3. Should be enough room to fit 2 PS3s in. I'm not gonna do that though haha.
Hmm, doesn't say anywhere on the Focus website about how much weight the desk will take. The bit I'm concerned about is the top - especially with the TV's weight.

Keep in mind that the PS3 does need room to breathe. And it does blows out a lot of heat from its right side and rear.

you might not want to risk that, I would put it in another location and save $600

It'll definitely fit but I don't know if the heat will be a problem. I'd stand it up on that left side.

well what you could do is, if your computer will/does support it, try to hook the compy into the tv and remove the top of the desk and put the t.v. where the monitor would go. i mean thats the safer bet if your not thinking of mounting the t.v. on the wall (always another possibility) still, its your call, you could still put an expensive tv teetering, looking down, heavy and all that in a high unstable place to crush you.

I dont know about the heat issue that would be my biggest concern
And I would surly mount the tv on the wall
At the very least I bet your gonna feel the heat coming off the ps3

the ps3 should fit lol but i would not advise putting the tv on top. If you do stick it up there make sure to anchor it in some way.

This thread title sitting right above the Porn going to Blu-ray one made me laugh pretty hard. They are in diffrent sections, but I use the new post tab.
