Even though he lost, swagger went over REALLY well, this guy has some skills and wont be on ECW for too long. Cena is doing another movie so i knew he'd drop the belt, hope edge gets for longer than a month now! Dont care about HHH, but thank god Orton is now champ.
But it was an TRULY AWFUL PPV

 what!? i thought it was an awesome PPV, not a bad match at all and the 2 main event matches were brilliant, i actually enjoyed it more than WrestleMania!

Finally got a chance to watch the PPV last night, and I kindof have to agree with him, it wasnt so special. I actually ended up fast forwarding half of it as it was unexciting.

Christain carried swagger, while he is getting better, he still isnt there

Jericho/Steamboat was horrid... Especially Steamboat trying to figure out how to put the figure 4 on Jericho, while he pretended to be stuck.

Kane/CM Punk was just sortof thrown in there halfassed

Santena thing really needs to end soon lol.... Its only funny for so long

Both belts still on Raw will have to change soon enough (expected it at the end of the last man standing match).

I did like however both at the beginning, and at the end of the pay per view, they put Edge and Christain side by side. You know that is going to end up going somewhere down the road.

Im enjoying Smackdown much more, i always have in way, even when they have had the worst superstars.

With Chris Jericho, Edge, Undertaker all there its awesome

Plus mid card talent of Shelton Benjamin, John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler adds to the awesomness.

Its a shame Smackdown lost Matt Hardy, Mr Kennedy ...... Kennedy and TBK but Smackdown is still better, or as good ol' JR said in his blog Smackdown kicks Raws ***!

I'm sick of tired of the titles changing hands want them all to keep there belts, Edge deserves a solid reign and not stupid little transitional reign, I say let him get a clean win over Jeff, I also think the same applies to Randy, let him beat Batista on his own to give him some realy credibility because right now I think he's losing a bit, especially with fat overweight Shane beating him up and Legacy having to save him :pissed:

Hope Christian retains aswell =)

santinomarella
05-08-2009, 18:38
So far my predictions for Judgment Day are:

Edge to beat Jeff Hardy

Randy Orton to beat Batista

Christian to beat Jack Swagger

& John Cena to beat Big Show

like yourmumsface17 said both Edge and Orton need lenghty title reigns, ecspecially Edge, im sure his longest title reign must be about 2 months

For once i actually hope Cena wins :o im getting annoyed with all the haters of him! :pissed:

SharkOutofWater
05-08-2009, 18:41
Mark my words, Orton will have the title for at least 5-6 months. They are going to give the belt to someone and let them run with it, like HHH used to do.

Edge will win as well, as Jeff most likely wont be in WWE in a short period of time, so they arnt going to give him the belt I wouldnt imagine.

justintheman99
05-08-2009, 19:05
The era of Orton will be a long one this time around. Frankly the fans feel it, and the WWE feel it that Orton is the future of their company. Currently he IS the man, and no one is stopping him.

Incase anyone didnt know this, the WWE is planning to turn Batista heel in the coming months, which would make sense because RAW really only has 1 big time Heel in Randy Orton, and Big Show I guess? And on the otherside you have HHH, Cena, HBK(when he returns) and Batista.

Same reason HHH is out :p

Vacation time.... be with their family etc....

as for Batista, they have been slowly setting up the story since he came back to turn him heel, but with the 2 main faces taking vacation time (and cena supposively going to go make another movie shortly), they are just doing it slowly (and I really expected HHH to come back heel when he does, as he just does it so well, but as long as Orton has the title, it is hard for them to do that I think now that they just did this previous storyline).

Poida
05-11-2009, 13:56

I wonder who will be involved with Kennedy when he returns shortly? I am hoping this guy goes straight to the top!

I am too, but unfortunatley i dont think it will happen, Kennedy is injury prone and his injuries are always lenghty so i doubt he will be given a big push until he can prove he can stay healthy for a certain amount of time.

I have heard a few rumours that when he returns the king of the Ring may be coming back and he will be playing a big role in that.

Who do you guys think will be The Brian Kendricks tag team partner?

Just read this on a wrestling news site.

In an interesting trivia note, this week in 1999 WWF RAW held the most-watched wrestling match in history. On May 10, 1999, The Undertaker & HHH & Shane McMahon vs. Steve Austin & The Rock & Vince in a six-man tag, with Shawn Michaels as the referee, scored a 9.2 cable rating. The overall rating for the entire show was 8.1. As previously noted, this week's episode of RAW did a 3.3 rating.

8.1!! for a Raw rating is amazing!

and now the rating are around 3 & 4, where have all those fans gone!?

justintheman99
05-13-2009, 14:30
They haven't gone anywhere, but instead wait for the WWE to wake-up and realize their PG rating isn't doing ANYTHING positive for their product. Also the storylines that last roughly 2-3 weeks as well, plus.......well I could keep going for ever here about the many negatives in the WWE right now.

Lol, as you can see in dc89's post, they have reduced the fans getting excited over the littlest things again...stacy, torrie, sable (hated her) and the likes did way more in their days.

PG rating sucks.... The first time I even had any respect for orton, was when he took those thumbtacks in the back against foley.

The hardy matches, and a few others could have been alot better if they were allowed to do blood etc (even if it is fake blood, I dont care :p)

HAHA i am still enjoying WWE at the moment, but i do agree i am not liking the PG era.

I guess WWE went PG because of Cena and his HUGE following from the younger generation. :bang:

justintheman99
05-13-2009, 14:37
WWE right now has gone back to what they were in the 80's and that was PG, but of course with much LESS actual wrestling. When the 90's came around they entered the whole "attitude" era and catered more to the older audience and gained much success from it. So why would they cater back to the younger viewers once again, and change their product so drastically?

Both WWE and The Denver Nuggets playoff game are currently scheduled to be played at the Pepsi center next monday evening.

Kobe Bryant (http://www.tsn.ca/nba/teams/players/?name=kobe+bryant) and the Los Angeles Lakers are scheduled to be at the Pepsi Center in Denver next Monday night.
Problem is, so are John Cena and a bunch of wrestlers -- and they called it first.
World Wrestling Entertainment said it is booked at the arena for an episode of Monday Night Raw, the same night the Nuggets are slated to host the Lakers in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals.
WWE chairman Vince McMahon told The Associated Press he doesn't believe there was "any malice, just ineptness," on the part of Kroenke Sports, which owns the team and the building, but can't tolerate the company "just simply throwing us out on our ear."
Without a quick resolution, McMahon plans to send his trucks to Denver.
"That's what we intend to do," he said. "We're going to show up."
WWE spokesman Robert Zimmerman said the organization secured the Pepsi Center last Aug. 15 and has already sold more than 10,000 tickets for the event. He says the organization expects a sellout, with tickets ranging from US$20 to $70.
McMahon blamed Kroenke for not believing his team was good enough to still be playing in mid-May.
"The fans in Denver had a lot more faith in making the playoffs than the owner," he said in a phone interview from Louisville, where Raw was taking place later Monday night.
Denver is usually done with basketball by now. The Nuggets had lost in the first round five straight years, but as the No. 2 seed in the West are in the conference finals for the first time since 1985.
Paul Andrews, executive vice president of Kroenke Sports Enterprises, issued a statement Monday night concerning the scheduling conflict, saying: "We are working with the WWE to resolve the situation amicably."
The league, which handles scheduling during the playoffs, is leaving it up to the team and the WWE to figure things out.
"The Nuggets and the WWE understand that the date of Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals cannot be changed," NBA senior vice president Mike Bass said. "We are confident that the Pepsi Center and the WWE will resolve their scheduling conflict."
Zimmerman said the Pepsi Center confirmed in March with the WWE that the organization wanted to keep the May 25 date, and sent a contract on April 15 -- the final night of the regular season -- which WWE signed and returned. Tickets went on sale April 11.
The conflict didn't arise until Sunday, when the Lakers beat the Houston Rockets in Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals. Had the Rockets won, Denver would have had home-court advantage in the next round, hosting Games 1 and 2 and putting the May 25 game in Houston.
As of Monday afternoon, the schedule on the Pepsi Center's Web site listed WWE for 6:30 p.m. local time and Western Conference finals Game 4 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the wrestling event could still be purchased online.
McMahon said he couldn't guess how much he would make from the show, but that cancelling wasn't easy because of how much is involved in moving his equipment, plus filling its obligated time slot on USA Network. Litigation is likely -- but he plans to be putting on a card.
"When you do have a date, you plan everything around it," he said, adding, "we may be holding an event in a parking lot somewhere."

Will be interesting to see how they find a new arena etc in such short notice, as I am sure they will end up having the playoff game there for sure.

It truly is a MUCH better experience when you see it live. The promos seem much more real cause you can boo them or cheer them, and the fireworks are so loud and just get the place rocking. It was truly an electrifying moment when I saw The Rock vs. Hogan.
Dam that was a boring match to watch, I love The Rock but Hogan is just a poor wrestler, I hate watching all the old wrestlers like Flair doing 'come backs' its just annoying, wooden performances.

Anyone else find themselves laughing at Batista's run? He runs like he's just got off a horse and he balls hurt.

Steamboats return around WM was very impressive, i was impressed with how well he performed in the ring, but most legends who return for matches are never very good at all, just look at Snuka at WM 25 (No dis-respect to him though)

e wrestling news

As we reported earlier, Mr. Kennedy was officially released from World Wrestling Entertainment yesterday. This is coming as a shock to many. Kennedy had returned to Raw on Monday after rehabbing from a badly injured shoulder. Kennedy ended up injuring his wrist after taking a RKO from Randy Orton.

It is being reported that Randy Orton & Kennedy had words backstage after Raw went off the air, it wasn't heated, but that Orton told him he had to be careful out there so he wouldn't injure anyone in the ring. There wasn't any other complaints backstage.

A possibility of a reason why Kennedy was released was the pull that Orton has with Vince McMahon. Another possibility is that because he is injury prone, and WWE wouldn't be able to capitalize on their work on his character. The ladder of the two is more likely the reason he was released. It should also be noted that Vince soured on Kennedy last year when he was injured. A wrist injury during his first match back with the company likely didn't help matters.

More soon.

Damn that sneaky Orton =(

santinomarella

If it had something to do with Orton, then you should watch the main event back, when Kennedy back drops Orton after countering his head lock, Orton lands quite bad and he looks quite mad afterwards.

During last weeks Raw main event, Kennedy back dropped Orton and Orton landed on his shoulder (the same one he injured) Orton then spoke with Kennedy backstage about it, apparently it was a friendly discussion, but despite that people think that is what lead to Kennedys release.

Kennedy posted another video on his facebook recently, nothing important, but in it you see his PS3 lol, good to see he is a gaming fan.

He was in the doghouse several times for hurting people. If he was at the top level, he'd inhure top talent, and the WWE wasn't standing for it. Add that to his injury prone body that has messed up storylines. . .I can see why they did it.

I don't see the appeal of Umaga, his Spike finisher was stupid and I saw him on the mic once and it just felt weird, like Kane talking for the first time.

Jeff losing his belt was probably for the best as he's injured his shoulder and broken his finger. But I hope he gets another shot and a longer title reign soon. But I really hope Edge doesn't have another title shot for a long time, or at least win for a long time, let the others have a reign now.

Tend to agree, Khali, for his size has no ring presence. He's got zero ability and when he was trying to be a heel he kept smiling and laughing. I just flick past his matches.

Thought the Trump angle was gonna end abruptly, theres no way someone would make Raw free + commercial free constantly. I also didn't understand why it would make Vince bankrupt... Trump owned Raw, if he made it free, it'd be out of Trumps own pocket, unless I'm missing something that is god awful writing. Definitely agree about Khali being a poor wrestler and character, even when he was a heel. I'm a lot more convinced by big men like Big Show because he can hold his own in a match and he makes a decent Heel. Then there's big men who have no presence but are pretty good in the ring like Umaga.

I just hate these big men with no potential to be an appealing character. Khali, Vladimir Koslov or whatever, Festus, Sexual Chocolate Mark Henry, amongst others. They're really just there so Cena could beat them and be everyone's hero. Which are boring storylines by the way.

Well it does take a great athlete, years of training, and definite skill to carry on a great match, and based on that I think it truly overshadows the whole "fake" part of the business. If you are a great wrestler you have the ability to clear the word "fake" from the minds of even the harshest critic.

Even though I know wrestling is "fake" I never really think about that, I know what the superstars do to put on a great show for the fans and I have great respect for that.
Yes there are some moments when I am watching I just think oh no what's going on here, but I always keep watching, I do find the shows very entertaining, but the part I enjoy most is the wrestling abilities of some of the superstars which is why recently I have enjoyed Smackdown alot more.

You got a point there.

It always makes me wonder though, seeing these people go through the years of training in the sport itself, and then getting themselves signed to the WWE where they put on a good show with all sorts of different matches. Don't get me wrong, I find the show entertaining as well.

I've been watching Smackdown for months but the thought of the whole fake thing is on my mind sometimes. Speaking of which, the show is on right now, lol.

Lillian Garcia is leaving the WWE

Hi Everyone,

I hope all of you are doing well! I am writing to address the situation in which WWE is looking for a Female Ring Announcer/Singer. The truth of the matter is that they are looking for someone new because I have given them my notice that I will be leaving at the end of my contract this year. It is with a heavy heart that I have made this decision because WWE has been my family from day one and you, the WWE Universe have always been incredible to me. The fact is that I am getting married later this year and have decided to enter into a new phase of my life but I will truly miss all of you and the WWE tremendously.

Love you all & keep rockin!

Forever Rockin’,
Lilian :-)

On Monday’s episode of Raw, the WWE Universe learned that, before selling Raw back to Mr. McMahon, “The Donald” had orchestrated more than a dozen Superstar trades, extending through all three WWE brands and including the following:

Moving to the Raw roster:
Gail Kim
Alicia Fox
Jack Swagger
Evan Bourne
Mark Henry

Moving to the SmackDown roster:
Matt Hardy
Finlay
The Hart Dynasty - David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd & Natalya

Moving to the ECW roster:
Shelton Benjamin
Goldust
William Regal
Brie & Nikki Bella

Justin since you're about at the moment and no one answered before could you explain this to me.

I did like the idea of guest GM, I could hear Stone Colds music ringing in my head, he'd make an awesome GM.Bash was fairly uneventful. Hardy gets robbed again, Cena rolls over The Miz, Orton - HHH thing is starting to drag a bit. Best bit was Edge and Jericho tag champs, although as soon as they came out you knew the result

Is anyone else here sick and tired of the whole Orton vs. HHH feud? *sigh* If I have to see another match with these two guys I think I will pull out my hair and eat rusty spoons!

Also I am sick and tired at how weak they always portray Orton. This guy is the champ, and the future. Then they make the guy lose in no time to Mark Henry? Give me a break.....

WWE in general has gone downhillb ALOT, whehter it be the crap booking or the silly storylines or the PG thing. Raw is suffering a lot and Smackdown has gone from strength to strength. I love watching smackdown. Y2J, Rey, John Morrison, Jeff, Edge etc

Raw is a bit of a joke, where is Kofi or MVP or anyone else as of late other than HHH or Cena? I love seeing Orton, but he is getting booked poorly.

EDIT....JUST read raw, forgot it was on! WTF!? Orton getting pinned by Henry, the trades, MVP going up against 'i wont put anyone over' HHH?!
Loving Y2J and Edge together, and they can go on any show they want!
Hmmm, could the the awesom jack swagger be joining leagacy? i read that Orton wanted Tyson kidd(Hart dynasty) but swagger would be great!!

The RAW report actually read like a decent RAW, might have to watch it now!

FURTHER EDIT....next weeks raw.

Im also really loving CM Punks booking, i wasnt a fan of him before but after seeing him in Roh and his SLOW heel turn(which is being turn excellently), im all for him now.

Odd though they had a draft after the "draft". You would figure much thought and time on the draft would go into play to make sure they could get ALL the match-ups they would want. So why the sudden need to move so many other guys around? Personally I think lately the WWE doesn't have a clue if they are coming or going. The whole Trump angle is a good showing of this too, as the angle happened and was over with within only 2 weeks.

I guess with the Orton-HHH thing, it's going the distance. It's just a shame its getting stale now.

I thought the Cena-Miz & HHH-MVP matches on Monday were silly. As if they had a chance, I just wish once Cena or HHH would have a shock defeat and give them a title shot set back or something, just spice it up a little and add a hint of realism, plus who wants to see Orton-HHH for the rest of the PPV's this year?

I don't know, he'd been in a '3 Stages of Hell match' the night before and then Evan Bourne, 500 pounds of talentless meat is alot after that, I guess Orton isn't being portrayed as a superhero like Cena. Which I feel is more real, I do wish they'd stop making him look like a ***** everytime something happens, that isn't in his favour.

I enjoyed the ending of Raw, everyone has been saying how repetitve Raw has been this year and that it is getting boring with all the same talent in the main event, well who would have predicted Mark Henry would be pinning the WWE champion in the main event of Raw.

I have never really liked Mark Henry and have never really enjoyed any matches with the really big wrestlers but that main event was good.

I feel sorry for ECW though, I had starting enjoying ECW lately with all the up and coming talent but now they have lost Bourne, Swagger, Henry, Finlay and Hart Dynasty. The only worth while replaces were Shelton and Regal.

Not sure about that. Apparently they offered him a push to go for the top tier title and he turned it down. I think that's quite a shame as he's a great competitor. Expect to see him turn face soon enough. When Randy Orton punted him in the head before, he took time out and apparently made a WWE film or something. He's expected to turn face to help promote the film - or so this was the case when he took time out.

To me, Ted DiBiase doesn't seem to have much in his arsenal. He hardly ever seems to do anything impressive. His finisher is pretty good, but then half of it is from his father.

And he seems to be styling himself exactly like Randy Orton. Suddenly he started wearing black wrist bands. Always wears a t-shirt when he's not wrestling, and sorta acts like him in the ring. But I guess there's always the argument that Randy is supposed to be "mentoring" him and Cody Rhodes.

A couple weeks ago, I seriously thought that ladder match would seal the deal. Then again, the win was pretty predictable. It's what happened afterwards that surprised me.

I thought it was more interesting to see him as a tag-team champion alongside Jericho. Before then, it was the same constant drivel about "this is unfair, I want a rematch, you're just trying to be like me, you want to be me, don't you? You will never be me. I'm the best." on and on...
