We’ve heard the rumors, but now we can read the financial reports: Nintendo expects the Revolution to launch in Japan in the spring of ‘06.
[UPDATE: IGN claims that this is a misinterpretation of the 2006 launch estimate. (See the Cube mailbag for today.) An official translation would sure be nice. Thanks, Andy!]
That may not be news to Revolution watchers who figured the console would try to launch with (or get a jump-start on) the PS3, but that little tidbit may have been missed in our previous post on the GameCube’s slumping North-American sales.
Unfortunately, it may take quite a bit longer for Nintendo’s new console to rev up sales in other territories. After all, the Revolution may not launch in the U.S. until November of next year, and in Europe or other PAL countries until 2007. We’ll have to wait and see.
Ah man, i don't care :evil:
If it's coming to Europe in '07, how can i care?
wow, that great news for Revolution fans. Revolution might be 2nd choice for next-gen console.
Wow this is good news. If this whole article is true I cannot wait until November of 06. :D
This is great, I cant wait for the revo.
Imo, is the most nex gen console. Because its changing the way games work.
oh wow... I hope this news is true! If the Revolution makes it up in the US before the PS3, I'll surely buy it first... lol, I'm kind of planning on buying it first anyway. ^_^;
Still... the earlier the better... but I wonder what the launch titles will be... @_@;
The Chocobo Kid
but that's for japan right. we might get it in the USA in like late 06 maybe. that is just my guess if it goes to japan next.
They can wait tilNovember for the US. That gives us plenty of time to buy a Revolution after paying for the PS3 and stuff.
Heh, my birthday is in November too ;)
Heh mine is november 4th and can't wait for it. If it turns out to be a hundred dollars I am buying it at launch
The Chocobo Kid
100 is a very nice price. I would buy one for sure. but I'm going to have to wait do to the fact of the cost here.
I not a big fan of Gamecube, but I'm going to get Nintendo Revolution when it release in US.

The Chocobo Kid
I went a ps3 so bad. I also went a HDTV to support it. I'm still looking to find the best one.
Even if the revolution does launch before the PS3.
it wont stop PS3 sales.what so ever
no one system can stop sales of another. there will always be people who will buy it no matter what.
The Chocobo Kid
no one system can stop sales of another. there will always be people who will buy it no matter what.That my friend is right. even if xbox360 sale 10million before ps3 comes out. people are still going to buy it. I'm one of them.

The biggest 3rd party videogame peripheral maker, Madcatz (http://www.madcatz.com/), is looking to expand their repertoire by linking up with one of the biggest games of the 2007 holiday season, Rock Band. The peripherals that Madcatz plan to produce for Rock Band range from wired and wireless bass guitars, drum set equipped with top grade wooden drum sticks, and a wired microphone. These items are expected to drop during the first half of this year.
"This agreement with MTV Games represents a natural opportunity for Mad Catz to combine our core competencies of producing and distributing high-quality accessories with the entertaining experience of Rock Band's interactive controllers," said Darren Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz.
"Mad Catz will produce premium instruments, allowing gamers and music fans to experience music in an entirely new light while taking on the personality of their favorite music idols.
"The addition of the Rock Band license is consistent with Mad Catz' stated goal to align ourselves with the most attractive brands and highly-anticipated software releases while seeking additional accessory opportunities to further diversify and grow our revenue base. With the ability to appeal to both hardcore and casual gamers alike, Rock Band is one of the most highly acclaimed releases of the 2007 holiday season and beyond."
Rock Band was released in North America last November where it was critically accepted. Similar to the concept of Guitar Hero, Rock back allows gamers to play along to their favorite rock songs by matching either simple or intricate points of a song by pressing the corresponding indicator using a peripheral. Unlike Guitar Hero where the lead guitar was the main focus, Rock Band allows users to take control of the vocals, bass guitar, and drums for the full rock experience.

Few minor errors, but a great article nonetheless. Keep up the good work.
