So what's this 'different' car class for PGR4?

Apparently, PGR4 has a new car class in it which you 'wouldn't expect from the PGR series'. There are rumours about what it could be.. with the big 'un being the possibility of it being Formula One cars. :o

The Formula One license was renewed by Sony for 4 years back in June 2003. Fours years on, that license is due to expire in 2 months. Have Sony renewed it? Or have Bizarre got hold of it again?

I'm not sure what to think of this.. it's certainly possible but I'm not sure how much Formula One would like having the license go the game where the only F1 track is one used biannualy for an F1 race. Saying that, Mr Ecclestone is known for liking his money...

What do you think? I reckon the other class is going to be a generic open-wheel racer class rather than one with the official F1 license behind it.

I'm not allowing F1 cars on an arcade game...ever!

As much of a F1 fanboy I am (the sport, not the game), I wouldn't like to see them on it. I want them on Forza 2/3!

Sounds like motorbikes will be finding their way into PGR. I am pretty sure the press release said nothing about it being a new class of car, i think they said it was a new vehicle type.

I couldn't find the exact quote from Bizarre about a new class/type of vehicle being in the game. I've read it somewhere.. i think it might have been one of their staff writing something on NeoGaf.

As for it being Motorbikes, I think the Bizarre staff would know how much that would ruin the PGR series... :p

F1 would be cool but also weird with the arcadey psychics. I'd much rather have a F1 game itself then have it implemented into something else.
