Father of Metal Gear and PS3 proponent Hideo Kojima may be spending his time dabbling in Nintendo’s revolutionary ideals. Game Informer (via French gaming site JeuxFrance) is reporting that Kojima is hard at work on a title for Nintendo’s upcoming Revolution console. Kojima, who is said to be very fond of the Revolution controller, is working with the team who made Metal Gear Acid on a game completely unrelated to the Metal Gear franchise.

This sounds like excellent news for Nintendo, especially since Kojima and his team have shown a fondness for innovative gadgetry with their games - let’s just hope whatever they do with the Revolution is less physically straining.

Update: Gotta give credit where credit is due. Infendo’s Rollin actually broke this story last night, so thank him for the news.

I am glad to see Hideo Kojima supporting Nintendo Revolution. Whatever Hideo Kojima have in mind for revolution, I am sure it will be good. Another reason for me to buy a revolution when it launch.

Wow! That's great news for the Revolution. I don't think I've heard of any specific 3rd party support until now! The possibilities of a Metal Gear with that Nun-Chuck configuration would be extremely cool. 8) I'm in!
