Don't cry folks - it'll be reopening very shortly! As you know its brand new and we still need to work out some prices and such, so whilst we are working on it we thought it best to disable it. In the mean time we would really appreciate comments and suggestions on how to improve the scheme!

well, i posted this in the "Skill Level Added" thread but i'll post it here since it belongs here...

Well...maybe we can buy smileys...so we can use them in our messages. I think that would be a good idea, maybe even a "great" one.

You could also sell new smileys so we have a bigger variety...

i think im also a lucky one that bought the "before it becomes really expensive" editions elite badges... if it get tooken away from me i expect a refund, but a doubt it beeing taken away

We will be removing everyones inventory items guys. Sorry. Expect a full refund though.

That particular item will be repriced at more than the original 250 points but way less than the current 5000. We are still working out the correct price.

Alright...even though I would like to keep it, I understand that our still working on the"shop", no worries...

So what do you think about the smileys idea? Do you think you’re actually going to put it in?

I suggest 750 or less cause I think that there will be cooler items and if that one is 1000, those would be even more than 1000 and it would be hard for us to get them.

one more thing, maybe this thread should be moved to the "Suggestions/Comments" topic since were trying to improve this forum...

What about diffrent elite items, like bronze, silver, gold, platnum, and your rank to effect how many points you get each post, ohh ive just got munchies.... DAMMIT! lol any ways, the shop is a great idea, it helps build your own individuality, makes you unique i really like the idea, what about custome post colours (colors 4 the U.S.) just a thought on the mater at hand there for ya....

Yey i got all ma things back, from the repomorph lol! just jokeing around, but what about new member that spend half an hour on their banner signatures, and then they dont have enought to display banner signatures :D lol shame innit, oh well

got a problem here...i bought a light blue glow and it worked...but only for a minute...see, right now it isnt working...but my points arent back, in other words i spent points for an invisable glow :wink:

I didn't even get to see the glow AT ALL. So yes, there are some bugs that still need to be worked out. I went with a dark-blue glow ;)

The Glows looked bad so I disabled them. But you can still buy coloured ranks. Not much point though becuase I will be resetting everyones points and purchases shortly.

i have another thing for you morpheous...the all colours have a pink/red glow....all that changes is the actual printing...another bug im guessing...

Not a bug. Thats just how the modification is.

Anyway. Finally Im done.

All cash has been recalculated...again! All items have been removed from everybodys inventories. You are now able to start fresh and buy what you want.

Thats me done for today. Yikes! This was hard work!

to be honest, i REALLY dont like how the colour feature is...seems like the pink is really....whats the word...girly IMO (no offence to girls ofcourse) ...just seems to me like the glow was a good idea...

Omg, an ides just hit me, how about you (admins) make a casino??? Where we will be able to gamble our points? There still needs to be quite a lot of thinking and planning about this but at the end, it just might work...what do you guys think?

if it could be done then that would sure be a cool idea, except the points are meant to be given for forum contribution and not for luck
there could however be a weekly or monthly competition where the best member decided by the mods and or admin’s or the person who has found the best/biggest number of news snips could win say 500 skill points
what do you people think?

Funnily enough there is a gambling mod for phpbb which works with the cash mod that we have installed. However, this is a forum for all ages and I don't think that a gambling forum is appropriate.

There is also a Lottery Mod, but like GU said points are meant to be given for forum contribution and not for luck. Both of those mods are quite easy to install, but the lottery one is the only one I would consider. First though I would need to see that people are interested in having a lottery or not before I even consider it.

I'm probably going to be against the ideas of gambling or lottery mods, it wouldn't really contribute anything to the forums and turn the points system into a game.

do u think your going to change it back anytime soon or is it just not gonna be added back (the glow)?

EDIT: can you add a FF stamp? and a GTA??? maybe also PS2, Xbox and GC stamps so we can tell who has what system...

Xbox360 + HDDVD = over $900???

With the price of the premium Xbox 360 at $400 and the HD-DVD add on to be rumored at a price of $500, says PS3news.ca (http://www.ps3news.ca/), it starting to look like the PS3 might be the cheaper deal.

Recently PS3news.ca reported that a Microsoft rep talked with them on the price of the HD-DVD stating, "The HD drive is expected to sell at $500... the Blu-Ray players are going for a thousand, and other HD-DVD players are going for half that, so that's going to be the price point."

If this report is true, then people that were complaining about the price of the PS3 should start moving their arguements towards MS and their expensive new package. Also, if you were to add other accessories needed for the Xbox 360 that come included with the PS3 you will find that you will be spending even more. These items include; 60gb, wireless adapter, headset, online service, ect.

You should really take this article down. The price of the HD-DVD add-on is $200, some people are goign to think that we are intentionally misleading them.

The $200 price tag was confirmed today.

*Update: The official price was released today by Microsoft and the HD-dvd add on will be priced at $200. Much better than the rumored $500 but still when you look at everything in persepective, a $400 Xbox 360 with a $200 HD-DVD add on and a $100 wireless adapter, you are looking at paying over $700. When compared to the $600 PS3 that comes with all the same plus more.
